Hello!

I'm not the most active member but forum helped me a lot when i was waiting for my interview. I was really scared because of the silly things people say about interviews-all this stories that they ask about underwear and color of coffee maker... My husband was telling me that i'm paranoid and everything will be fine and i wouldn't listen...now he's laughing at me cause he was so right!

We were scheduled for 9.30am on Wednesday the 6th. We had to wait for 30 minutes to be called in. We got in at 10 and we were done at 10.15! The lady that was interviewing as was very nice and polite. She was quiet, teacher like type of person which made me feel very relaxed and comfortable despite being squeezed behind her desk in the little room. She asked how we've met- we got confused cause we didn't know who should answer and she didn't indicated so i made Justin talk. Then she asked me all the no questions, my name, my parents name, how my dad feels about me being married and away from home. She asked Justin why he moved to Tahoe, if he met my dad and if we had a big wedding. Then she asked for our proofs of relationship. We had: health insurance together, car title, selfphones contract , bank accounts, pictures. We don't have rental agreement so we had to explain why. She went out to take copies of pictures and some of the documents. Then she came back and said that i'm gonna get the answer in the mail. I got scared again cause she didn't say if it's approved or not but i didn't know if i should ask or not....then she said that if it is aprroved it will be conditional for first two years...etc. So we went out and i knew that it went well but why she didn't say it's approved??? I didn't feel good about it BUT today i checked my case status and it says notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident!

I hope everybody will be as lucky as we were. It was really smooth, i would never expect it will be so easy cause my husband was married before and we got married while i was on tourist visa- no questions about it!

Good luck everybody and feel free to ask if u have any questions!

Congrats! I think for most the interview is very easy (everyone that I have personally known and talked to had no problems at all.) But there are a few that are subjected to more scrutiny - I still think that for most of us, we need not worry as long as our relationships are genuine. Good Luck
