Dropping out of school after filing I-485

Hi all,

I understand that legally speaking I can drop out of school and fall out of status after i have filed my i130 and i485, and also the general consensus is that it'd be bad for the interview because it might raise suspicions that I was just using F-1 as a pretense to come to the US.

However, my situation is a little bit different, and here is the timeline:

08/2008 - 05/2011: Attending School A. Graduated in 2011

- 08/2008: First entry to the US

- 01/2010: Second and last entry to the US. Was holding F-1 visa for School A. Have never left the country since then.

07/2011 - 07/2012: OPT

07/2012- Present: Attending School B

So my question is, if I abandon my F-1 status right now, I don't think it'd raise the suspicion that I "came" to the US under a pretense to get married in here, because for my both entries I was holding a visa to attend school A from which I later on graduated. However, it might seem suspicious that I was using School B as a pretense to extend my stay till my marriage. So my question is, would that be a negative factor as well in the interview?

My understanding is that it would be problematic if I made an entry to the US during my attendance at School B because they may think maybe I was "trying to enter" the country with an intent other than attending school B, but since I have never left the country since 2010, it wouldn't affect my interview. Is that correct?
