hi,

My boyfriend is in US from almost a year, we both are Indians, and i am planning to go to US to meet him for just 2 weeks,. he is on H1 visa.

My question is what to say to the US embassy interviewer that he is my boyfriend or fiance(as we are not officially engaged) or a friend? do i need to give any proof if i say he is my fiance?

i am really scared what if they reject me..

M fully employed in india, my family is here, my job is here and next year we r planning to get married so i vl definately return in 2 weeks. Sponsorship is also nt a problem.

what are chances of me getting the visa, and what should i tell the US consul. that m going to visit my friend, boyfriend or fiance? if any body can tell me what to say in the interview it would be great.

If he is not your fiancé, then do not call him your fiancé. However, he is more than a friend isn't he? So 'boyfriend' would fit.

You need strong ties to India, your employment is good, do you have a letter from your employer with an expected return date? What about a lease or mortgage?

good luck

Family is not seen as a strong tie. You want to focus on job, school, anything that shows you MUST return

good luck

Only one way to find out, nobody here makes the call.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I came here in 2008 on a tourist visa to visit my back then boyfriend for two weeks and when the officer asked me what I am doing here I told him wait I am here in vacation visiting my boyfriend and he gave me the stamp. Not a big deal. He didn't wanna see any evidence etc.

You shouldn't have any problems with you are only here for two weeks on vacation.
