Hello,

We have an interview in Ankara in 21 days (Oct 2).

I am getting ready to send my documents in (the packet has to get to there before Sep 18).

Initially, the embassy sent me an instruction document stating that I need to fill the DS-230. There has been a recent change and now they require DS-260. (see: http://turkey.usembassy.gov/wn_082913.html)

The article says that documents submitted after Sep 1, 2013 should include DS260 instead of DS-230.

I called the embassy and the guy said that I should stick to the original instructions and file DS-230.

HOWEVER, I am AFRAID that once I go to the interview, they will ask me to file the new electronic form, DS-260.

Do you think it makes sense to just fill out DS-260 (the updated form) the first time? Will that make them angry or instead, will they give me a pat on the back for following the updated instructions?

Please advise, I really need to send this packet in ASAP.

Thank you in advance for all your help!

Hey,

Thank you so much for sending that website. I didn't even know about it! So, I checked mine and it says:

Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than 10 working days, please see the webpage for contact information of the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application.

Did yours specifically say that it was printed?

Thanks!

Yes, It said issued and then it said printed and that we should receive in a few days. Yesterday the website said we were in Administrative Processing. So I would say you will see a change tomorrow.

Let me know if you see a change or get your visa and I will do the same.

Congratulations! And, thank you. I hope we get it tomorrow, too. However, the websites are really scaring me. The CSC still has no Waybill info. The CEAC still says the same:

Status Updated Date: 08-Oct-2013
Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than 10 working days, please see the webpage for contact information of the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application.
I pray we will get it tomorrow :)
and congrats to you guys once again!

We got it! I checked CEAC last night and there was no change. But when I checked CSC, there was a tracking number. It came from Ankara to Bursa overnight. We got the passport today! Thank God!

And thank you for helping get through this past week without pulling my hair out :)
