So I have GREAT NEWS husbnad and I called USCIS and they told us both waivers where approved on Dec 12, 2013 is just the system had not updated yet. I got Approval notice for the I601 3 days later and now just waiting on approval notice for I212. Now waiting for IL from El Salvador Embassy hope that does not take a long time, I seen cases of ppl who have waited a long time to get their visa issued anywhere from 2-4 months that is a long time! I want my husband home ASAP!! :)

congrats!!!! thanks God your almost done

So husband was in AP for 2 weeks up until yesterday he got another instruction email from El Salvador embassy asking him to redo medicals. Thankfully my husband was able to go in today and get the medicals done. Dr. Claudia told husband results should be in the embassy tomorrow. How soon do you think he will get his visa issued?

Si when did you send the i601 and how long it took for you to get approved

I sent my husbands waivers on July 2 2013, and he was approved Dec 17 2013. Right now if you check the USCIS website for timeline on I601 only it says 6 months to process. We are filing thru El Salvador consulate and that consulate is the sloooowest out there I swear. We have been waiting 2 months for my husbands visa and nothing yet. Sigh. Some ppl have reported waiting 3-5 months for visa issuence.

Really they R reporting 6 mths delays and waivers can take 7 up to 12 mths now

Each case is different how fast your waiver gets approved depends a lot on each individual case. If you have provided enough hardship evidence to go with your hardship letter. Each statement made needs to be backed up by paper evidence. Also your criminal history if any. My husband has no criminal history whatsoever and was deported for overstaying a voluntary departure. Sometimes if USCIS thinks they need more paper evidence that will slow down the process of waiver adjudication they will send you a letter of what docs they need from you. Also missing signatures but if all is a good expect to get an approval soon. Good luck!
