I485 Need Advice 9 months and counting.

We sent in our I1485 in Jan 12, 2013.. We received an RFE in Feb wanting the current tax return. We filed quickly and sent those in.

This was posted on April 4th 2013, We have requested updates twice now and just been basically blown off and said to keep waiting.

On April 4, 2013, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use the processing time information on our website to estimate when this case will be done. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

We have never received any type of written update since this. We fear her file has been lost. We have contacted our local office and they have said they have never received the file from the National Visa center in Lee Summit , MO.. what can we do to make sure this is still actually being processed and not just lost?

Hello, let us first of all get some names correct. The National Visa Center (NVC), a part of the US Department of State, is located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, The NVC is not involved with Form I-485 Processing for Family-based AOS. The National Benefits Center (NBC), a part of USCIS, is located in Lee Summit, Missouri. The NBC typically receives the I-485 packets after they are mailed to the Chicago Lockbox address, for processing.
