Off to Montreal tomorrow bright and early and nerves are already starting to kick in lol...I can't imagine how I'll be feeling Thurs night and especially Fri morning. Triple checked that I have everything, so I guess I just have to leave it in God's will now. I can't wait til this is all done!

My interview is before you on Wednesday. I am off to Montreal tomorrow morning. I am twice as nervous, but singing a soothing song really helps with calming my nerves, lol (just a tip). Good luck to you. Hope we both have a good news to share soon :)

I'll try the singing (I'm willing to try anything at this point) but it'll have to be my inside voice as I can't sing to save my life lol. I wish you the best of luck as well!

It was the easiest interview of my life I thought. I was so nervous and the lady who interviewed me was very friendly and could see how nervous I was. She tried making jokes and all to make me feel comfortable. Very nice people sit there to interview. However, I didn't like the lady who checks the paperwork; she was an idiot. She put wrong number on my file and also asked for birth certificate, which I had already given her. Then she went like, is this it? I said "yes", but in my head I went like "hell yea, you moron!!". But yea, those people who interview are veryyyyyy friendly. So don't be afraid of anything. This interview is only a formality to see whether you are a real person who was on the file. Take all your paperwork and you will be just fine!

The interview really is very easy. You'll do great and have your visa in your hands before ya know it!

As others have stated----99.999% of the time, it is the easiest part of the process!! 99% of the time at the consulate is spent waiting and waiting....................Best of luck

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
