Hello all,

It is now my turn to anxiously await my husband's arrival to the USA.

We sent out the form I-130 on September 3, 2013 and today, September 9, 2013, I received the email and text that the case was received. Now, as you all now, the wait begins to have the form approved and to do all the other stuff. Even got a case number and all.

I checked on the visa bulletin for October 2013 and it says for the F2A category, the dates are September 8, 2013. Could you someone or somebodies remind what this means for me? And how soon do you think stuff will take? The email says it is being sent to the California Service Centre. I hope they are moving fast and he will be here in no time.

Congratulations to all those who have gotten through so far and will get through. I will soon be joining in the excitement.

Thanks again everyone!!!

I am a LPR.

What is your priority date? Did you receive your NOA1 from USCIS? If your priority date is before September 8, 2013, then you don't have to wait for your visa to become available. All you need to do is wait for the approval from USCIS. Once your I-130 is approved ( depends how long), USCIS will forward your files to NVC to process your visa application. However, if your priority date is after September 8, 2013, then you have to wait for your priority date to become current. If this is the case, I don't think you have to wait that long but I'm hoping that your priority date is current since you sent your application to USCIS before September 8, 2013.

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

Sept 4 is the date of your NOA1 which means this is the date that they have receive your i130. So, you have to wait for your NOA2 which carries your priority date.

Based on your priority date, you don't have to wait for your visa to become available once USCIS approved your petition because the October cut off is September 8. This is good for you, unless the visa bulletin will retro again.

Ok all is well. Until yesterday, we got an email that says they are awaiting for us to send the civil documents, and we've sent it from April 8 and they received it April 10. So, what is going on? We were looking forward to what's happening and getting an interview date, and this happened. Please help.
