So she has her Medical tomorrow. She's already sent in whatever paperwork she had to to the embassy.

On Friday our status was updated to this:

U.S. Department of State
IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION
Ready
Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html
It's the "when scheduled at the US Consular," and "if you have already scheduled for an interview" part. Did we miss something where we need to make an appointment, or is the ball rolling and they're going to send us a date?

Nope. London schedules the appointment. That message is just the same generic message every applicant gets, regardless of country and local embassy procedure.

You need to update your timeline a bit - I can't see when you received Packet 3 or sent the forms back. Generally, you should hear something back from the embassy in 4 - 6 weeks after they get the last piece of information (the forms or the medical results - in your case it'll be the medical results about 4 working days after she has the medical, assuming no issues come up).

Yeah I've been lacking on the timeline. Been so much else to fill out I haven't had much desire to do anything else.

Just seen that London has apparently received my Packet 3 forms and logged them on CEAC, just got my medical coming up on the 13th and then they should have everything. Given that it apparently takes about a month to hear back regarding an interview appointment, how far in advance do they usually book your interview from the time you receive the packet 4 letter? I'm just trying to figure out if I will need my fiancée to write one of those "yes I still want to marry this guy" letters to take along to it.

That's a good question. I don't want her to get to her interview and have them be "oh, this Intent to Marry letter is too old..."
