Hi people,

I hope you all are doing great.

My story : met an american citizen in my home country 3 years ago, stayed friends, then there were some feelings ( best virtual friend)but nothing was ever official. I decided to visit the states ( 50% tourism and 50% to see if our relationship can be more than just friends). To be honest, i felt like i was in love before even visiting him and in my heart i was wishing everything would go well between us. I just tried to lower my expectations. His mom sent me an invitation letter since he was living with roomates and not even on the lease. Long story short, igot accepted visa b2, and they did not even question where am i going to stay or who is that woman hosting me. Same thing at the airport. They asked why r u here and i said 'tourism'.

After going to the states, we had a lot of fun, we traveled to many states together and his family are just amazing.3 months later hesaid he wants to marry me so i put my flight ticket on hold and decided to stay until the last day allowed on my passport. His mom suggested Aos after marriage but im worried to be denied and also i read a lot that my mind gets confused more and more.

Another info is that my parents who are conservative people are totally against this quick marriage and they are basically denying us as a couple.

My questions are : will it be safe to apply for AOS? Will they accuse me of lying since i didnt mention this guy in my tourist visa application? ( they never asked me about his mom either or who am i visiting in the states so i didnt mention them.)

i dont have any problem going to my country and apply for green card the usual way but with all the problems with my parents ( threats) i feel safer here.

Final question , my marriage to this guy is not accepted in my country because this guy is concidered to be from different religion (even though he is , he just do not have any official papers that prove his religion). So in my country i will always remain seen as single. Will that affect aos? Will my parents disaproval affect aos?

Please advice.

Thank you

The USA considers you to be married, and that's all that matters for AOS. Just remember that you need to stay in the US until the process is over unless you apply for and get advance parole.
