Hi guys,

My husband received his NOA1 for both the I-485 AOS and I-765 EAD on August 28. Today we received a notice for his ASC Appt on Sept. 20, 2013 at 9:00am. I have a few questions: 1) We live in Palm Beach but instead of sending us to Miami or another local office they sent us to Ft. Myers which is 2-3 hours away... is this normal? The drive is no problem for us, but I just thought it was strange and was wondering if anyone else had a similar case. 2) Is there anything else my husband should bring besides his passport, birth certificate and the appointment letter with him to the ASC? 3) He has much improved his english but do they ask him questions or do an interview type thing or is it just the fingerprints and photos?

We both appreciate all your help and input! Thanks!

He only need his passport and his app letter! Wow! They send your hubby pretty far away :) usually they don't ask question unless the staff member becomes friendly with him :) In my case the old lady who took my fingerprints, she told me I remained her, her grandaughter, so we started talking :) :) :) she was soo sweet! But dont worry, it took me literally 10 min to be done

We live in the panhandle of FL and our USCIS office is almost 5 hours away in Jacksonville. It is a pain to drive that far just for fingerprinting and a photo, but you do what you have to do. We just stay in a hotel each time we go and have a night out together.

He only needs what the letter asks for, his passport and appointment letter, There is no interview. It is pretty much the same as the ASC appointment he had for the K-1 interview. After he enters the USCIS office, he will be asked to fill out a short form with his personal info like height and weight. He will be called back for his fingerprinting and to get a photo taken. They will stamp his appointment letter to show he was there and had it completed. My husband is fluent in English, but the woman that called him back last time spoke Spanish too anyway. They just had small chit chat though. It only takes a few minutes.

Wow! I wonder why they do it that way? I just wanted to make sure it wasn't out of the ordinary. We're definitely going to the office they assigned though and we have family in that area so it should be fine. I'm glad to hear it's simple like the K-1 ASC. Glad it came so quickly too! Thanks for you help!

Wow that's a trip too! Thanx for the info!

we live about an hour north of Ft. Myers.... I wonder where they will send us.....

It seems like no one is really sent near there home lol, but if you're that close maybe you'll get lucky! :-)

Well I thought it would be in Palm Beach but they sent us to Ft. Myers so that's where we'll be heading. :-) We're just happy he got the appointment so quickly.

I live in Fort Myers and did my fingerprinting here. The office there is always empty and I went as soon as received the biometrics letter like 2 weeks before the date in the letter and they didn't asked me anything, they were nice. A friend of mine went a week before and they told her your date it is in a week and she asked if she could do it that day and they let her do.
