Should Overland Park, KS be it's own value in the timeline?

Hi all,

I was just wondering if it would make sense to separate the new Kansas NBC office from the old one, since it appears that they would be processing I-130s within themselves without the field offices? I think it would mean more accurate statistics - and for once there'd be no confusion of having all field offices under one umbrella of the big NBC.

Please let me know if i'm misunderstanding the concept of this new location. smile.png Thanks!

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

it'd be swell if there was a new service center code for it.

IE - for now - MSC is the National Benefits Center NOT in Overland Park, Kansas.

Maybe ask ppl what they have for service center code, and lets see what's what?

I nudged Cap'n Ewok to get the MSC / National Benefits Center added in last year , so if it's a new code, I think it'll be easy.

So, what's what, for that Service Center in Overland Park, KS?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

It's still called the National Benefits Center and uses MSC.

I would hope they'd give it a new designation but the USCIS hasn't seemed to have done that.

But perhaps the days of weird local offices are over? That would be a joy!

I suppose one option would be to call it something in VJ and add a note in timeline saying "If your NOA1 says Kansas, select this <value>" and if it's assigned it's own code, then replace it eventually (migration needed? Not sure how it works for websites). Or just make values "MSC-Lee's Summit" and "MSC-Overland Park". Then it'd be clear for people which to pick.

I'm the beneficiary.

aiyo. same service center code? not so easy, then.

doable, but not with the same approach as adding another service center code.
