I really don't want to elaborate this. As a Muslim, agreeing another poster saying is mut'ah as a prostitution, you're really bring this up to offended another Muslim's brothers and sisters. You're mentioned about seeking advise from greater knowledge I would say if you're really truly understood Islam by means, divide between shiah and sunni is not really matter. By reading your reply, Western countries are really not shocked now why there is a torn between shiah and sunni - they are all Muslims after all-.

Difference from other does not mean, someone is higher than everybody else. If you learned it, sunni and shiah are more political view things rather than religious matters. On the top of that, in higher achievement, Sufism or tassawuf override all the differences. But I have should known better since I see the beneficiary comes from Pakistan.

At the end of post, I apologized for bringing up mut'ah to this conversation. I wish you luck and your loved ones!

I mean I should not bring up about mut'ah since I see the beneficiary is from Pakistan. Most of them are sunni. Big apologize.

You should only use English in the upper forums anyway, I was talking about sex for consideration, usually financial.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

We went through a similar situation. I was also on a tourist visa and he was on a student visa in UK. , After much research, as someone else said on here, if we had a nikkah we are too married for a K1, but bcz it wasn't a legal marriage in the UK we also weren't eligible for a CR1. So we decided to play it safe and not marry so we could file a K-1. I am not sure about having the marriage attested to in Pakistan to make it valid...that was never proposed to us as something we could do since the marriage would have taken place in a country where it would not be considered legal. But if that is possible I wish we had done that!

As for interviewing in UK, I did a lot of research and got different answers, but in the end I found a government form stating that what we could have intervied in the UK. Unfortunately his visa wasn't going to extend long enough for us to interview so he will be going back to Pakistan to interview. We applied for K-1 on 7/1 and are still waiting for the docs to go to NVC so if your husband doesn't get an extension on his student visa I think it would be unlikely that he could interview before his visa expires. That being said. If you do submit everything and plan on interviewing in London the worst that can happen is that you have it transferred to Pakistan and add 1-2 months wait time for the transfer. We wish we could have interviewed in UK. It would have been much easier. Good luck with everything!
