Hi guys:

Anyone that went for biometrics in November that filed to Vermont Service Center to remove conditions has received the 10 year GC card yet?. If so please let me know to see what to expect I will do the same up to now I have only received an approval letter and the biometrics for which I went on November 10th just waiting for card. Also the website still says something about my case is pending but I received the approval letter already and went for biometrics.

Hi Edcol:

I have been waiting for last 4 months. I have not recieved 10 yrs one yet. I went to local nyc office in aug to do all formalities and they said it will be coming in 6 months and 4 months passed but didnt hear anything yet. I went twice they say they will contact to vermont service center why they havent sent card yet. but still no word.

Wow Its taking forever then... I did not go to get my passport stamped.. should i do that? because i got the approval letter and the biomatrics taken...

It has been a month since I last went for biometrics. it does not matter if I go to get it stamped now? and also.. if i do an infopass do they let me choose the day and time?. Thanks raj...

I got an email a few days ago saying that my card had been mailed. I'm not even sure if the cards come from the service center anyway?? Someone around here will surely know. My timeline is below.

Met the ole man in January 1998

Jan. 2004: K1 visa issued ~ April 2004: Got on a plane ~ Nov. 2004: GC in my mucky hands ~ Dec. 2006: Received 10 YR GC

September 2008 - US passport delivered!

No. There is a new policy that they won't stamp your passport unless your card has run out or unless you can prove you will be traveling while your card is running out. My card arrived today, by the way.

Hi Guys jusst an update, I scheduled an appointed with Infopass last night for today Wednesday Dec 13th at 8:AM and I went I got my passport stamped for another year with the IR6 new thingy. I will be still waiting for the card :P

Hey Ed:

any update?...i am still waiting for card. And now I read people are getting card with apporval letter. Did you get yours? What your stamp says? I know they wrote IR6 and A number with the stamp.

Stamp is:

"Upon endorsement serves as temporary i-551 evidencing permanent residence for 1 year"

A XXXXXXXXXXXXX and IR6

yeah I got the same thing and is dated for one year. I dont know what is going on to tell you the truth and worried me a little. Well if you get it let me know and if I do i will do the same. Hope yours arrive soon because that would mean mine is on the way too.
