Re-Scheduling Interview for K1 Visa (PLEASE HELP)

My fiancé already got a spot for tomorrow September 10th to have an interview. Unfortunately, we don't have all the papers because the second batch of documents sent through FEDEX didn't make it on time consisting my parents signature for I-134.

However, I did scan a new one with their eligible signature and sent it to him Via PDF File form and emailed it. I am not sure if they will allow that or if its possible for them to accept it till the original ones comes this week.

If anything does anybody know whats another new opening this month. We really want to be together by the end of September because its our 1 year anniversary.

For the past week, i read some of the post here in VJ that they are having a hard time getting an interview schedule for september and october since both months are full... So there's no assurance that if you cancel your present schedule you'll get another schedule for this month or even next month.

I don't know how it will work for you but why don't you just keep ur present schedule and go ahead at the interview just bring the print out of ur affidavit of support and just expect a 221g. Then, when u got ur original affidavit on fedex just immediately send it at the embassy... Oh yeah...i really dont know it will work.... Just wait for other member to reply anyway... ....it is just a thought since the condition of getting an interview schedule is somewhat unsure...

Freelibrary is right, just go on to your interview and just expect 221g, once you passed the original docs, status update won't that be long. Sept and Oct interview slots are full, though there's an opening from time to time due to cancellation, its not guaranteed

I agree with FreeLibrary also. 221g's can be reversed fairly quickly and better to have a few weeks delay (if you're lucky) then risk a long delay with the problem of lack of available interview slots.

FedX sucks...but then USPS is worse. DHL has a better reputation but...our package for Juliet's interview on Wednesday has gone missing and is very unlikely to surface in time. So apparently no shipper can reliably do express to Manila.

I'd do what I'm suggesting you should do, but in my case, since I'm currently unemployed, there is just too much missing--especially the original letters from banks showing that I have adequate alternative assets. So we'll reschedule.

You could cancel your interview and reschedule, but as the calendar seems to be very full lately it could put you another month + out.

One thought is keeping your interview appointment, bring what you have (including the copy), if the CO approves the visa with a co-sponsor (USEM is difficult regarding a co-sponsor with the K-1 so there are no guarantees) but need the original I-134 they would give your fiancé a 221g stating final approval is pending receiving the original I-134. Delay this way is waiting for FedEx and then the final review after the embassy has the required documents, maybe a couple weeks. Just my opinion.

Hello there,

Here are the available dates as of 09/10/13:

There is nothing before 10/21/13

10/21 - 10/23

10/25

10/28 - 10/30

Each date above has 30+ seats available. Some have over 50+ seats available.

It seems they do not do interviews on Thursdays.

No appointments available in November because they have not opened that month up.

There was a Sept. 11 date available last night, but that is way too soon for me.

At this stage, i would go with the 221g. Don't reschedule your appointment.

I can tell you this.....you DO NOT want to miss your appointment. It can work against you in the future.

They seriously frown upon that.

Even if you don't have everything you need.....get the 221g

I am so confuse because I have given my 2010,2011,2012 ITR along with W2 forms and pay stubs for the last 2 months then my coponsors which is my parents also included all of those information. I dont know what else they want I am so overwhelm and upset because we were well prepared
