Hi Guys,

I got my NBI(the green one), CENOMAR, Birth certificates for me(k1) and my 2 years old son(k2).

I got it since march 22 2011..

Do I need to get the most recent NBI for the interview at the USEM?

On my CENOMAR it says

Issued upon request of ***** ******' for VISA.

Will I need to get another cenomar that says Issued upon request of ***** ***** for Travel Abroad?

I just wanna gp to my interview with appropriate papers with me to avoid hassle or worst denial:(

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Your NBI should be the latest, if you got it March 22, 2011 meaning it is already expired... NBI has only one year validity.

Cenomar, should be latest too... it only has 6 months validity... try to get a new one now... "issued upon the request...... for visa" is the right one... just get a new one... :)

You can order cenomar online on www.e-census.com.ph. (if u don't want to go to NSO) It will be delivered to you within 5 days (or depends on your location).

Yes, get new ones. I have friends who's cenomar/nbi clearance have 1 month left for validity and they still asked them to get new ones. Better be prepared to avoid any delay. Plus NBI Clearances take about 2-3 weeks before releasing now, so get them asap

NBI should be good for one year, CENOMAR for 6 months. As long as your interview is prior to that time, you should be ok. Wouldn't hurt to update the CENOMAR, cuz it's almost 6 months already.

As hard as this process is and trying to get another interview date, why risk it. Get FREASH documents.

Please keep in mind that some dates are only known after receipt of another document.
For example, the USPS Form 3811. The stamped receiving date was not know until the original Form 3811 was received on 07/13/2013 1:30 p/m CST.

The process is actually remarkably simple, if you just provide what is required. We never had an issue along the way, just followed the requirements. Showing up with an expired CENOMAR would for sure get a RFE.

Thanks everyone for posting here, yes I will just get new ones.

wow is that true?2-3 weeks before releasing?thats too long when i got mine it only took 5am to 11am.

can someone clarify this to me?

Yes, its true if u have a "hit" on ur name... They will ask u to go back after a week or couple of weeks (depends where u apply for NBI - branch or main). But if ur name doesnt have a hit u will get ur NBI the same day u apply... (Hit might be u share the same name with others that's probably have some legal case and they have to confirm)...

Purpose on the CENOMAR really doesn't matter.

The NBI should be for Travel Abroad, green form. If you have used other names then you should add an AKA search

CENOMAR and NBI shouldn't be older than 6 months.

Okay Thank you so much freelibrary for clarifying this to me 'it is a good relief'.I have a rare name as a filipina so I never have problems when it comes to this and I am just home most of the time it would be impossible for me to get involve to any crime.So I'm glad I don't have to wait for it for that long then.'

JUST GET latest NBI, CENOMAR so no worries and beside these documents are not very expensive smile.png

Yes I am getting new ones.I don't worry if it's expensive or not.I just got no one else with me and I have 2 year old son so i was thinking if I could save the hassle it would be nice when I know it would work but ofcourse I will do what I have to do that's why I asked the people here on VJ.Thank you for your time too.
