Got approved Sept 5, 2013.. Yey! Though I haven't received my NOA2 hardcopy yet, Am trying to gather the things I need to send to my fiancé.. I've read Hanks guide (it was really detailed good.gif thanks hank!).. I've told my fiancé to prepare his NBI clearance, cenomar, birth cert., DS forms.. On my part, I know I have to prepare my I-134 form, w2, employment letter?, pay stubs?.. Can I prepare this once I know when our interview date is? in that way, the dates on my employment letter is close to the interview date.. what do you think?

Now, on my I-134.. Last year, I have 2 jobs (a full-time and a part time) and so my total income for 2012 is $95,000.. with this, do I still need to provide my bank statements, savings or retirement fund???

Now, in case, we get an interview schedule for next year - this year, I still have 2 jobs though I changed 1 job to just PRN (as needed) and kept my full time job.. so that means I won't be getting that much as last year.. roughly, $50-60,000.. would I still need my bank statements then, showing savings?

I already have my 2012 tax return transcripts from IRS that I requested way back on april.. but I just remembered that I filed for an amended tax return last July and of course, until now I still don't have it.. can I just show them my original 2012 transcript and not the amended one, since I still don't have it?

you will not need bank statements. I was worried about this as well. My inquiries and reseach has concluded this.

Here is what you will need

2012 - W2's

2012 - 1040 income tax return

Letter from your employer

At the salaries your posting, you will not have any issues at all. Don't worry about using 2013 documents if you have your interview in Jan / Feb.

The IRS 1040 return forms don't even come out until Feb / March so there is no way you can file your return in Jan / Feb.


Also, you do not need the IRS transcript. ( that comes with AOS ) You can use a copy of the 1040 you sent in.

If I am incorrect, someone please correct me.

Please keep in mind that some dates are only known after receipt of another document.
For example, the USPS Form 3811. The stamped receiving date was not know until the original Form 3811 was received on 07/13/2013 1:30 p/m CST.

hiiii we are about at the same step. we havent sent our packet 3 out yet cuz we really arent sure about what is exactly being asked to send

DS 230 part (which has now changed to DS260 as of sept 1), DS 156, DS 157 and DS 156K

is DS 2001 and the cover letter (updated intent to marry) included in this "packet 3" that we are to send????

any help with this step would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!! :)

I think it depends on which consulate you're going.. I think we're different.. I have Philippines consulate, we don't use DS 2001 and we don't send out packet 3 to our consulate (unless if am mistaken hahaha!).. sorry.. maybe ask nurseling, I think you're both the same..

and do we really use ds260 now?? coz some said not, some said yes.. confusing.. I guess it's consulate specific??
