There are so many...how about the time I asked what Naksheet teez meant at the dinner table with his family :P

Exactly like my kus story!!

There was also a time where he was drinking and I kindly asked him if "yefdah arduck" meant anything since I had overheard a man yell it at another man... and he spit some cocktail out :)

Or there was one time where we got lost in Amman and he was so frustrated and I asked him if this was an appropriate time to say "kus ummuck." Poor guy. I havbe since agreed to no longer ask him any arabic questions LOL! His poor heart.

Oh! I just thought of a good one! I made chicken and dumplings one day when my Dh and his friend were eating for dinner.. and you should have seen it. it was like I had slapped something toxic and possibly living on their plates. They kept smelling it and poking at it, and only would eat the chicken. LOLOL!

Angel's story was hilarious, I just hope my man does not do the same thing since he is also from Jordan.

After a week in Jordan, I was so sick of eating arabic food that I insisted we go somewhere else. I found a Beninhana's in Amman and got so happy. He had never tried it or for that matter even Japanese food. But he went along with it for me anyway. Everytime the waitress brought something to the table, he would ask me what it was. Now I can speak arabic, but I don't know the arabic words for tofu, soybeans, seaweed, etc. WHen she brought us the miso soup, it had some seaweed in it. I kept trying to explain what it was, but he didn't get it.

About a week later we were lounging on the beach in Aqaba, and some seaweed washed up on to the shore. I told him, hey honey, see that? Thats seawead. I think i heard every arabic cuss word in the world come out of his mouth in about 30 secs

BTW - Dollface, did you say you are in Zarka????

Okay...my funny story...my husband also lives in Zarka (just wanted to throw that out there)..lol...anyway, me and a mutual friend of me and Moe (who also lives in the US) were driving to the Dead Sea. So Moe is telling us to look to the other side and we could see Israel. Then all of a sudden he starts yelling F***, the F***, F***....I was thinking he had went mad...why was he cussing us both in english all of a sudden...Me and my friend was looking at Moe...all of a sudden my friends starts dying laughing and immediately I knew as well....Moe was trying to say FOG...the FOG...we couldn't see the other side because of the FOG...I swear I was like oh my god...never say this again in public....lol...
