By the way guys I stumbled across this earlier. It doesn't really tell us a lot but it does give some figures for NPIW cases sent to the Houston office.

http://www.ailatexas.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Houston-USCIS-July-QA.pdf

July 2014:

Q. In both interview-waiver eligible and VAWA-based I-485 applications, the pending I-485 applications are transferred from the National BenefitsCenter to local offices for the scheduling of an interview, or in some cases, adjudication without interview. However, members have reported backlogs in the scheduling of interviews for these I-485 applications, particularly in VAWA I-485 applications. How is the Houston Field Offices (HFO) handling the adjudication of interview-waiver eligible and VAWA I-485 applications? Is a certain percentage or quota of such cases accepted for transfer by the HFO every month or quarter?

A. We proceed monthly with all of the IW I-485s as they are received. So far this year we have had over 3,800 IW I-485s shipped to the Houston Field Office and have approximately 300 left to adjudicate. In regards to VAWA based I-485s, we address those cases as they come in.

Houston FO states they are processing may 18th cases still. I filed may 20 per uscis. That was the date they accepted my hubbys fingerprint fee. 300 cases seems like it shouldnt take that long or is that for 2014 stats?

That's cool Derwood, thanks for finding this!! It does however mean that there a lot of VAWA cases or that they are processing 2 cases a day (a rough estimation) so I tend to think its a statement that has been issued to pacify us and stop us ringing up the service centre.

Don't know if anyone has seen this, probably somewhere in this thread, but this is statistics for the AOS dated September for each field office. I am surprised they havent released another one yet as it seems to be every three months or so, but then again I guess I am not! Tells you how many cases are in, how many they have dealt with, how many they have denied, accepted etc. Enjoy!

Thank you! This is really good info.

For that table. If they approved 62,000 cases within 3 moths, and left 165,900 pending cases. I should be one of the pending cases as of Sep 2014. The remaining of 165,900 will be done in next 9 months from Sep. If so the last person applied in Sep 2014 should get approve no later than June 2015. (unless USCIS reduce its staff capacity - but I'm sure they did.)

You're welcome Pat80, but I am afraid you guys have totally lost me. I was just looking at local field office processing times on this report. I have also looked on visajourney's statistics and it says its taking around 157 days or something on average for a decision, but I looked at the local offices on that too and Dallas I am afraid seems to be 300 and odd days Natonstan! I get more and more confused each day and today I've told my husband that I have total brain fog today, I went to water my plant this morning then had to go back to it just now and feel the soil as I couldn't remember if I had actually done it! Please explain to this brain fog, dumb blonde what you guys mean?!?!

Thank you! This is really good info.

Honestly Shell, I've heard so many different numbers and information that I've decided to not even bother trying to work it out anymore, I'm just going to wait it our, March 7th will be the start of the 120 day window for my EAD renewal so I'll be sending that off on the first day (Actually a few days before so it arrives on the 7th) and hopefully my GC comes before the EAD renewal does

Don't blame you. Do you know on the 13th Feb it will be a year since we had our Embassy interview. I remember as it was my birthday, so I can't forget that one. We would have never guessed that AOS took longer than a K1 visa would we? It just adds another year or so to our immigration journey I guess. I only want to feel I belong somewhere after giving up my home, my country and leaving my son and cat behind. :(

I DO feel for you and your husband and I know how he feels about being in limbo and not feeling like he belongs any where in particular. I often wonder how it would be if the shoe was on the other foot and my husband was the one who emigrated to England, I find myself wondering how the immigration system works there and how long it would take for him. I bet it is probably worse with it being a smaller country and overcrowded as it is.
