Eventful day for me today!

Got promoted with a raise, and the best for last:

"On January 30, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSC1490XXXXXX. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by March 31, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Doing my "Happy Dance" for both of you!! Congrats! Only took them nearly a year, be quicker if they actually just looked at our files rather than send a waiver letter out and subsequently get irate phone calls from us all to deal with.

Shell, I'm sure you've tried everything but I've had that 'account locked' message several times before and I've managed to resolve it myself on each occasion.

I just scroll down and hit the 'Forgot Password?' link, change my password, enter my mother's maiden name and hey presto!

Yeah I haven't forgotten my password its on automatic, so it logs me in automatically, but then they ask me a security question, husband hint? I forgot what I put for my husband, his full name, his first name, his name in capitals or not and then it tells me I got it wrong account locked. I have tried every combination to no avail.

I tried to sign in with another email address as someone on here told me too, but then because I have saved my user name and password I cant seem to get rid of the original ones, it all starts again, so I find myself going in a full circle with the end result being locked out. I don't know where my emails go about the lock out, but over the past two months I have sent three emails and guess what? ........ Yep, no reply!! lol.

WHOOP, whoop it worked!! Weird though I got a detailed report and it didn't say that they had sent out the dreaded waiver letter which they did in December! Says I am signed up for emails and text messages, but I haven't had a singular one. Any way I am just so glad I can actually view everything now. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

In January I filled the request through Tier 1 and that's what I got:

"The status of this service request is:

On January 15, 2015, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-485 to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Our records show that your Form I-485 is currently pending adjudication. As case complexities and work loads vary, we regret that we are unable to provide you with a completion date at this time. We apologize for the delay.

We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience"

Does anybody know what "pending adjudication" mean?

I'm glad you got through, but welcome to no usable information. After seeing people getting email replies to SR's in the last week, you and I must be wondering (and many others), why aren't we getting them - we've signed up as well. The reasons for this are just as good as why NPIW cases drip out of NBC in an indiscrimate manner...non-existant...

Every I-485 application is "pending adjudication" before it is approved, whether it is in the very deep bowels of the NBC gathering mold and dust or in front of an immigration officer just before they stamp approved. It means absolutely nothing...

Thanks nlhernan, at least it's better than no response at all. It's been almost 11 months since we filled the AOS, I've seen many cases being approved closer to a year since NOA1. Patiently waiting :clock:

Yes the site is bad nthernan, I looked at the email alerts and text alerts and although I requested them I had to then physically turn them on. I am SO sorry for you guys, waiting nearly a year Marino4ka is just unacceptable, back log or no back log. If they actually were more specific about the actually problems and back logs and dates and more transparent of how long it may take to completion then it would lessen the waiting game and ease the stress that we are all feeling. It's the not knowing, the being fobbed off by red tape and bureaucracy that puts the knife into the injury! I am praying for all you Guys, hoping you all get a great Valentines present.

If it helps any I found out today that when they do finally issue the green card it is then a 2 year green card they issue, the EAD is only a temporary thing so like my self having my EAD for 8 months so far and waiting for my AOS it could be like 3 1/2 years before I can do removal of conditions.

I'm glad your case has now been sent to the Atlanta field office. The first sign of some meaningful action! I hope that approval comes soon.

By the way guys I stumbled across this earlier. It doesn't really tell us a lot but it does give some figures for NPIW cases sent to the Houston office.

http://www.ailatexas.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Houston-USCIS-July-QA.pdf

July 2014:

Q. In both interview-waiver eligible and VAWA-based I-485 applications, the pending I-485 applications are transferred from the National BenefitsCenter to local offices for the scheduling of an interview, or in some cases, adjudication without interview. However, members have reported backlogs in the scheduling of interviews for these I-485 applications, particularly in VAWA I-485 applications. How is the Houston Field Office’s (HFO) handling the adjudication of interview-waiver eligible and VAWA I-485 applications? Is a certain percentage or quota of such cases accepted for transfer by the HFO every month or quarter?

A. We proceed monthly with all of the IW I-485s as they are received. So far this year we have had over 3,800 IW I-485s shipped to the Houston Field Office and have approximately 300 left to adjudicate. In regards to VAWA based I-485s, we address those cases as they come in.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! This is wonderful news!! This gives a lot of us hope that the end is in sight.

I know it does, and that's why I wanted to post it ASAP. And also, before I forget, I did NOT have to redo my medical (I had done mine in Italy of Jan 14, 2014).

What are your dates?

I have a timeline for everyone to look at. Should you need more specific info, let me know.

CONGRATULATIONS!! It's about time...revel in it. You deserve it. Paint the world green...

I am! Thanks!

Doing my "Happy Dance" for both of you!! Congrats! Only took them nearly a year, be quicker if they actually just looked at our files rather than send a waiver letter out and subsequently get irate phone calls from us all to deal with.

I know, right?!?!?! Better late than never I guess. I hope you all get yours SOON!

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.
