This is all so frustrating. The information given out really is worse than useless. I can't see there is any point in calling them at all.

It's equally as frustrating to hear of new NPIW letters being sent out, even though the backlog of cases must now be horrendous. USCIS management need to get a grip.

I've recently been helping some friends fill out a K1 petition. They filed in September 2014 and have their embassy interview next week. They didn't have a lot of evidence in the file but we made it work. They got an RFE (that should never have been sent out) but we dealt with that too. They hope to do POE as soon as they have the visa and plan to marry at the beginning of April. At this moment in time I suspect that I'll be assisting them complete the AOS paperwork before my case is adjudicated. Given the fact that they only had minimal evidence and received an RFE I'm guessing they will avoid this unenviable club. I wouldn't be surprised to see them get their green card before I get mine.

She more than likely they will be interviewed. I described here a similar story with minimal documents and questionable circumstances who got one of those "miracle" interviews and GC 6 months ago. She submitted 2 weeks after us. We rue the day that we flooded the embassy with tons of evidence...we now pay the price for our attempts to play by the rules...And so are all the rest of us on this thread...

Almost forgot, 6 months today guys! How are RFE's for medicals looking? looks like recent approvals that we've seen here have had expired medicals if I am not mistaken and got approval without RFE. I was looking online at the USCIS policy change for Medicals that happened last year. Looks like any case that is adjudicated after June 1, 2014 will fall under this new policy where medicals expire. Adjudication or course means making a decision, and technically our cases have not been decided upon.

Well...Yesterday and today we got 2 responses relating to the call I made to USCIS Tier 2 on Jan 20th. At that time the agent said he was going to have the NYC field office request our case for adjudication. He assured me he did (during a time on hold - probably out getting a cup of coffee). He said we would hear in 2 weeks...We believed that we had made progress.

Yesterday we got a response to the General Inquiry (WKD**********NYC) he submitted to take the action he promised. It is from the NYC field office. It said this:

"Based on your inquiry, we have reviewed the status of your case and have found it remains under active examination. USCIS will notify you as soon as possible if any further information is need from you or when a decison is made. We hope his information is helpful to you."

Let's unpack this. First, no, it is not helpful. Second, they didn't request it. Third, another Tier 2 agent lied...

Got a second letter today responding to the Service Request (SR***********NYC) from Jan 8th. It is from the maximum security prison in Lee's Summit, MO. It said this:

"Due to workload fractors not related to your case [meaning Executive Action], USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed [yeah right] to adjudicating imigration benefits in the order it order received [and that explains the processing dates up to 2 months after ours, huh?] and in a timely matter [there's that drip, drip sound again] and efficient manner [a bureacracy said this, what a joke]. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing [again, yeah right]."

Taking these two letters together, active examination means that a little light streamed onto the stack that our case is in when they opened the cell in MO to throw in new cases and slammed it shut quickly. So much for requesting our case...

So when I thought that we had made some progress last week, it turns out to all be a lie. My anger is relitively high. We will go in person to our Reps office next Tuesday...Keep you posted...

My tier 2 put the service request for me since 01/21/15. It still show status not yet assigned <_<

And from what we've seen they started to approve 06/05 waiver letter since Nov 2014 and this week we saw some movement for letter date 06/27. This implied 2 months for them moving with different letter date and it get slower and slower.

My date is 07/10. We are stressed out more than enough. I am hopeless and don't expect anything in at least next 2 months. I will renew my EAD by mid-Feb.

Good luck to everyone.

With the interminable wait times and their continued hurry up and wait letters, your interview is a gift...You say, WHAT?!?!! Yes it took them 7 months from the letter to get around to scheduling an interview. Yeah they should have done it earlier and if they had you would have received your GC in July or August...But you don't know how long it will take to process all the 6/27 letter holders. You now have a date for action. It is rare to not get their GC soon thereafter. You know that your file is being touched by a real person...I would bet that you will get your GC before us...our case is old and moldy in the sub-sub-basement of the NBC, not soon to be found...

I would be jumping up and down right now if we got an interview request...

My husband got an email response to his service request that was filed on January 14th. It stated the following:

"USCIS has reviewed your Service Request. According to USCIS records, your application is still pending. At this time, we anticipate you should receive a decision or other notice from USCIS within 120 days of this notice. Please be advised that posted processing times are goals based on Field Office averages. These goals are subject to change and can vary from office to office. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by delays in processing.

What You Can Do
If you do not receive a decision or other notice from USCIS by the time specified above, please contact the National Customer Service Center at the phone number below.

In the interim, please remember to renew your employment authorization documents and travel documents within 3-4 months of the expiration date.

USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration applications in a timely manner, efficiently and in the order received. We hope this information is helpful. If we may be of further assistance, please let us know."

Guess it's better to apply for EAD/AP renewal now since his is due to expire in less than 100 days. Ugh... more USCIS paperwork! :bonk: Oh and I couldn't helping laughing at the sentence "USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration applications in a timely manner, efficiently and in the order received." Sure they are, and I am the Easter bunny!

Well I've officially been in the US for a year. Never thought it would take this long to get the green card, but oh well. Every time I visit this thread I get more and more angry. I'll be reapplying for EAD/AP next week as Feb 2nd is 120 days from the expiration of my current card. Here's hoping they're not backlogged with those applications too. Ughh.

It'll be a year next month for me, I'll have to renew my EAD from March 5th since mine expires July 5th, can I just ask what supporting documents you need to renew? Obviously a copy of your NOA1 from your AOS and the actual EAD form, is there any evidence needed?

Nothing is normal with USCIS prossing time or system ..and there nothing we can do about it .Makes me MAD ANGRY .but we just have to wait and wait

I can understand the interview thing, because youre from a land far beyond.... NOT! I am shaking my head, not quite believing after such a long wait and a potential waiver letter you might go to interview. I am wondering if you actually do have one, perhaps it goes to that status before producing a GC? Just a thought and a positive one. The only conciliation I can offer is the fact the journey for AOS will shortly be over for you and then in just under 2 years time you can apply for ROC and maybe have a sense of belonging and one day you will not be classed as an Alien, I hate that term, I know I'm weird (at times) and blonde, but an alien I am not! Lol Good luck and keep us updated!!

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

GC  Conditional date:  05/26/2015

N400.  Application:      02/28/2018

Waiting............    Roll my eyes again :(
