I just called and it was predictably frustrating. I stated that I was now outside the 6 month period indicated on the waiver letter and that a service request had resulted in incorrect information, but all she would say is that the service request answer was correct, even when I told her I had followed up through my congressperson and received a completely different response.

I don't know why I bothered, that's exactly how I expected it to go!

I've given up calling them now, I've literally called every day this week, multiple times, one day I called 5 times in a row to see if I'd get a different response but nope, exactly the same as you, just that they're backlogged so everything is normal.. what a joke

I didn't even get that response, I got "we'll send you an interview notice when it's scheduled, sir". I kept telling her that I had since received a completely different response through a congressman, stating that my case was still at NBC and still a potential interview waiver case, but she stuck with her original line.

Of course she was only working with what she could see in front of her and I was perfectly pleasant about it, but I don't understand how it's in any way helpful for USCIS to so routinely hand out incorrect or outdated info.

All I got everytime was "What's your Zip Code" and then she proceeded to go to the Dallas Field Office page since it was my local office and then they'd read off "They're processing February filers now" I guess they're blind to the fact it says "As of November 30th" .. like I said I'm just giving up calling them and I'm just gonna wait it out, at least they seem to be getting to us July people now, I'm hoping next month is our turn, if not I have to renew my EAD on March 5th as i'll be within the 120 day window

I told her that it is not because my local office's address is on the letter as well as on the envelope. She still said it was from NBC and I told her that the post office's stamp does say my local office's city on the envelope. She hang up the phone on me, and I have to submit the request online that has 3 letter at the end of confirmation number as JAC, which is my local office again. I guess I will receive the same response as last time, however, I will continue to submit the request every 30 days.

Wow she hung up on you? I've never had that happen, my favorite thing is how they argue back with you, we've all worked out things on here such as them sending packages off to random field offices based on numbers but if you ever try and tell the USCIS officer on the phone she'll tell you they 100% will send it to your LOCAL office

This does not bode well for any of us. It simply states the obvious: Executive Action has forced USCIS tor reallocate resources to cover the anticipation of a glut of EAD applications and our wait time will get worse...we're all in trouble guys...be prepared to redo all your physical...

"..currently being held at NBC, pending field office review..." And when pray tell will that be? We seen how fast that can be...A case cannot be adjudicated until it gets to field office. Your letter also explains why some couples whose cases accidently snuck out of the back door at NBC have gone to distant field offices...they know these cases will be adjudicated without interviews...That begs the question why it's taking so long,,,And we all know why, those some here find it hard to admit.

This is all so frustrating. The information given out really is worse than useless. I can't see there is any point in calling them at all.

It's equally as frustrating to hear of new NPIW letters being sent out, even though the backlog of cases must now be horrendous. USCIS management need to get a grip.

I've recently been helping some friends fill out a K1 petition. They filed in September 2014 and have their embassy interview next week. They didn't have a lot of evidence in the file but we made it work. They got an RFE (that should never have been sent out) but we dealt with that too. They hope to do POE as soon as they have the visa and plan to marry at the beginning of April. At this moment in time I suspect that I'll be assisting them complete the AOS paperwork before my case is adjudicated. Given the fact that they only had minimal evidence and received an RFE I'm guessing they will avoid this unenviable club. I wouldn't be surprised to see them get their green card before I get mine.

Congress doesn't have to approve anything. USCIS is funded by applicant fees, which I'm sure they have plenty of now, and will have even more in the future. I agree that the President's Executive Action is unfair to all of us that did things right instead of taking the easy route into the country. I've read that USCIS has been hiring 1,000+ more employees and that another service center will open to adjucate applications for the President's Executive action to avoid even more delays.

Here's the problem: the USCIS does not work on tax dollars. It works on the fees it charges. You ever wonder why an AOS costs $1000 to push papers around. We even pay an extra biometric fee...

And there's going to be an extra rub. The USCIS Director in a teleconference last week that they expect many requests for fee waivers from low-income applicants for these EAD requests in the coming months. So who's gonna pay this shortfall for an agency that runs on the fees it collects? It will be people like us who apply in the future when they raise the price for submission.

GiuseppeG - Were you talking with Tier 2? They "should" know more. Remember there is a Tier 3. But from the experience described here a month or so ago, they seem to eat rocks for breakfast and are not too charming to talk with...

No just Tier 1. I could barely keep her on the phone, let alone get myself escalated to Tier 2.
