That's literally how I feel also, being in limbo and not knowing what's going to happen sure is tiresome, I just want to be established as a permanent resident..

Good to see you posting in here again Shell and yup you said it, its not fair how things are working out, people that do everything wrong are getting processed before all of us that went through the whole K-1 route, doing everything legally, it's disgusting to be honest

Just looking at your timeline, I can't believe you filed in April. I just looked on a different forum which was stating that as from 30 November the Texas service centre was dealing with AOS from May, but I don't get it, Its not TSC who deal with them is it? I'm not sure if its the local field office, if so then Im afraid it said as from November 30th again Texas was dealing with AOS from February! Otter who went through the K1 process with us has her GC bless her, I bet she was totally shocked, just going on the website and a greeting saying Welcome to the USA!

Which brings me to yet another topic. I locked myself out of the website so I can't see a list of what has gone on with my case and although I have emailed USCIS twice to help me unlock it, no response as of yet. So like Otter who did the same thing, all I seem to get is your fingerprints have been received! I also wonder when they are going to update their website about processing times, last update for all offices seems to be the end of November, which doesn't give us an up to date guideline of what cases they are working on from which month! x

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

GC  Conditional date:  05/26/2015

N400.  Application:      02/28/2018

Biometrics:                    02/22/2018

Waiting............    Roll my eyes again :(

Well whenever I call I get told my FIELD OFFICE which is Dallas will be processing it, literally 8 USCIS officers have read out that the Dallas office is only processing applications from FEBRUARY 25th, 2014 and that I should wait a month or two... I wish I was joking, the thing is like you said the processing times say "As of November 30th" or whatever the date is, so that makes no sense, they should be onto April filers by now surely... this whole thing is one big puzzle

The best thing is, I forgot to mention they refuse to let me put in a service request due to the processing times saying February, I can't do one until its gone past my filing date of April 16th!

Well Im wondering if that is why Otter got hers, she is in Utah and they were processing from June in November again. If they only show processing times from November then perhaps it has now gone from Feb to April in the interim period and perhaps you will get your card very shortly as a complete surprise?!?! And if they do decided to up date their systems then you can see what date they are processing from, one thing they can't do is go backwards!! Have you requested an info pass? I would be mentioning an info pass or something that might get their attention,, anything that gets their attention might get the ball rolling, rather than it stagnating.

However I tend to think they just have this really old filing cabinet and when they go to it to get out a document they wear a mask so they don't choke on the cobwebs and dust! ha ha ha! Shoudn't laugh but its better than crying I am 110 percent sure you will hear something in the next 2 weeks I feel it in my bones x

OK this might cheer you up, I figured from Feb until November is 9 months, so if that is the case and we are nearly two months on, then from April to now is 9 months, so perhaps you will be getting that card sooner than you might think!! If that is the case they were working on June from my local field office and two months on they should be sorting out August the month I filed. I want to look at our glasses half full (wine or vodka). Lol x

I'm sat here trying to work my way through my first year of filing a federal tax return, FATCA & FBAR and all the rest of it. What really annoys me is that I fail to pass the IRS 'Green Card Test' because I haven't got one but the IRS have got me on the 'Substantial Presence Test' instead. It's amazing how they can treat you as an LPR for tax purposes but not immigration purposes. Grrrrrrrrhh.

That's what I was thinking also, I actually worked it out day by day, if they were processing end of February in November, then they'd be on April now, I hope and pray that's the case anyways, if I hear nothing by March i'll have to renew my EAD since it expires July 5th :(

It will be 7 months from NPIW letter and nothing is moving. Service requests, Congressman (dont even hear anything from him), and Ombudsman (still waiting) dont even help. My local office is processing May 16, 2014 which is 2 months after I filed. I dont really bother to call them anymore and I just hope my file is somewhere and get approved after 2 years of marriage so I dont have to do ROC.

New Journey AOS:

My fiancee came to US on the 8th of March, 2014 under K-1 visa at Newark, NJ Airport for POE.

Applied Social Security Number on the 10 of March, 2014.

Married on the 13th of March, 2014.

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131 on the 15th of March, 2014.

Received EAD on June 7, 2014.

Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on July 1, 2014 date 6/27

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

Welcome notice was mailed on 04/01/2015.

Received Welcome Notice on 04/08/2015.

Card was mailed to me/picked up by USPS on 04/08/2015.

Received GC on 4/10/2015.

Prediction 04/08/2015

Also don't quote me on this one, but I've just looked at the USCIS website regarding AOS and they seem to do reports every three months which I am thinking probably coincides with them updating their current processing times.

So by that reckoning then they should publish what time frames they are working on in February some time. So until Feb comes and you can see what case loads they are working on, you wont be able to put in a service request, but that said I think you will find your card will be with you shortly! I reckon they are probably working on April right now. They can't possibly be working on one day Feb 25th for two months, just makes me laugh thinking about it! lol x

I dont know what IRS requires to file income tax ( form 1040 ). I dont have any foreign banks, however I am filling form 1040 by paper and I will send it with a copy of my EAD. What is Substantial Presence Test?

Im curious about that is ROC for when you have been married 2 years or does it go from the day (you eventually, one day, sometime in the future when the Jupiter collides with Mars and the 2nd coming happens) get the first green card? Sorry couldn't resist that tad retort about the length of time that AOS takes!

Im curious about that is ROC for when you have been married 2 years or does it go from the day (you eventually, one day, sometime in the future when the Jupiter collides with Mars and the 2nd coming happens) get the first green card? Sorry couldn't resist that tad retort about the length of time that AOS takes!

I'm pretty certain its from the date of your green card to be honest, which is what makes all this waiting worse, it makes everything delayed in the long run..
