Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case

We also filed in July and received our letter on 1/5.

1/3 sorry

I suppose I ought to be somewhat thankful. I'm a July 2014 filer and I received my NPIW letter over three months ago. It would appear there is a separate Cave of Doom where the NPIW letters themselves are getting delayed. The whole thing is infuriating.

Good luck to everyone that is waiting, especially those that are already six months down the line!

I am now feeling the same as you are. We are August filers (NOA1= August 6th), and K2 got a NPIW dated November 12. Of course, my husband has yet to hear anything at all, but since their cases are linked, we are assuming that he also has a NPIW. Apparently, this is severely uncommon, as NO ONE has comments on our situation when I ask questions about it. We truly are at a loss. I guess it'll be here when it gets here.

Timeline

Just came home to a letter from the service request I did 1/14/15

N all it says is give them 3 month from that date

Same exact thing every other letter has said

I'm tired of waiting I paid with the understanding of it being a process of 6 month not 9+

This system is trash!!

I congratulate all those on the timeline who have received positive decisions on their AOS...BUT everytime I go to these data I see things that bug me to the point it is difficult to return there often:

1). The "miracle" interview cases with fast GC's in as little as 3 months.

2). Decisions for cases received after many of ours who obviously got NPIW letters as we did. It shows the willy-nilly fashion that cases ooze slowly out of NBC - maddening.

3). And the limited number of cases successfully adjudicated at our local field office is discouraging...

I know it is important to understand that the members of this site with NPIW dates may not represent a true sample of all AOS filers who receive this letter, but it is all we have to work with.

That does not take away the joy and feeling of success when a couple gets the good news. As you guys mentioned before, many will get their GC and leave this thread and never look back. It behooves all of us to continue to push for a more transparent understanding of how the decision for dispersal of these case is made so that others do not have to make this long "rite of passage." I know that I will be writing to the USCIS ombusman, Senators and my Representative when this is done and I want answers. We all should ...

I'm the same, I have a difficult time looking at the data, I get a angry because here we are waiting. :(

Well, we recieved the response to the second inquiry from 1-7-15 (still no response to the 12/03/14 inquiry). They bacially said the same thing as the waiver letter. Our case is delayed due to workoad not related to our case. That was it! Nothing about where our case is now or how much longer or if we should renew my hubands EAD. Just keep waiting, waiting, waiting.....I'm so very tired of the worry.

Sorry but I don't remember your NOA or NPIW letter dates. If your NOA is earlier than April, you are out of processing date at your local field office and your NPIW letter is older than 6 months try doing what we did last week (and I suggested to Natostan). I called NBC and told them I needed to know where our case was so that we could schedule an InfoPass at our field office. I said that it would not be worth our time to schedule one if it was not there. I was transferred to Tier 2 and when they recalled after a while, I found out that our file was still at NBC (no surprise). That is when I went off at the agent about being almost 10 months from receipt and almost 7 months since getting the NPIW letter. Told him that the optimum time set by USCIS was 4 months from receipt and at least no more than 6 months on a Potential Waiver. And I topped it off with the fact that our case was well beyond the November 30th processing date data. I reached an agent that listened and also cared (unlike the 5 other Tier 2's I had talked with). He agreed we were out of processing date. He said he was going to get the NYC field office to request our case. I've seen even more changes on the My Case page. They say they have sent a response to both the General Inquiry the agent sent (last Tuesday) and our most recent Service Request (as of Friday). The weather cancelled mail delivery today so who knows what the reponses will be; may even more hurry up and wait. I hope not. But after this long wait, anything is possible...

Give this a try...the worst that can say to you is wait a little longer...

I'll be trying this today around lunchtime, hopefully somethings comes of it, I'm simply going to say I need to know where my case is as I'm thinking of making Infopass, and I'll state my case is going on 10 months from receipt date, fingers crossed I get somewhere like yourself

Hello everyone!

We received our Waiver letter five months ago ? I had a question.... Of everyone that received the waiver letters did you have interviews before you got the Green Card? Or did you just find out by checking your status online then it arrived in the mail? I know it depends on the individual case and situation but I was just looking for experiences as how this process happens.

We are compiling our paperwork just in case we have an interview. I know it may be a long while but was curious as to how many actually had an interview after receiving this letter?

I don't think we've had a single Waiver Case on this thread that has had an interview, I could be wrong but I'm almost certain they just got a case update on their online tracking

If I get an interview waiver letter does that mean my case will not be processed at my local uscis field office?

Also I just looked at the AOS timelines and sorted them from my field office location and people are getting their Greencard 3,4,5 and 6 months after their filing dates without interview! Is this even possible??

I hope so too! Im on edge everyday. We feel in limbo all the time. We started our K-1 visa in March 2013(which is not an easy process either) so we have been dealing which immigration, paperwork, documents and appointments for almost two years. It gets to you after awhile. Im very tired.

Thank you for all the updated advice on how to proceed with this AOS shambles That is all I can describe it as reading comments on here. I received the dreaded letter on Dec 11th but before receiving it, I had been popping in to read up dates on VJ. I see Otter has her GC now and Natonstan is still waiting. I hear this process isn't necessarily done through our local field offices but Otters is in line with her field office processing times. If it was with my local field office, then they are processing AOS in Pittsburgh from June 5th, although this has been updated since November.

I just find it incredulous there is no rhyme, reason or method of how they are process things. We all should have done what someone else did on this forum, came over on a tourist visa, worked for a company from another country all the time since staying here, applied for AOS got their EAD card and now has an interview for a GC tomorrow. It is quite infuriating when someone who blatantly breaks all the rules gets an interview sooner than the ones who did everything the right way! Sorry just saying, rant over. . I just find it hard being in limbo, not feeling I belong any where. Any way once again for the update and let me know how you get on! :)

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

I hope so too! Im on edge everyday. We feel in limbo all the time. We started our K-1 visa in March 2013(which is not an easy process either) so we have been dealing which immigration, paperwork, documents and appointments for almost two years. It gets to you after awhile. Im very tired.

That's literally how I feel also, being in limbo and not knowing what's going to happen sure is tiresome, I just want to be established as a permanent resident..
