Have you inquired USCIS as to the location of your case at this time? What does the case status on line say. The first thing that is said. Mine says "...your case is at our Service Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri..." I have been led to believe that is an accurate statement as to present location,,,They are presently adjudicating cases with NPIW dates between 6/5 and 6/27...

Did you catch all of the public engagement email address that they gavec I got public.engagement@uscis but I didn't get the rest, too fast and poor connection...

The automated phone service says lee summit some customer service member have said national benefit center n some have said at the San fernando valley office ( my local offic)

If you are told this by Tier 1, they don't know because they are not privy to much information. I was assured that our file was at the NYC field office in November by Tier 1, only to find out from Tier 2 a week later that it was still in jail at the Lee's Summit application prison...

Tier 2 is who told me It was at my local office

Tier 1 would always give me different answers

It's been 9 long month I'm just tired of waiting originally I was told 6 month I met people the same day I summited my application with the same type of case ( family based ) already been approved with a 10yr GC

It's good to know I ain't the only one in this situation I thought maybe something went wrong with my case

We are suppose to have our case through San Fernando Valley Field office also. BUT, as I can see from reading her, that dosen't seem to mean anything as to where your case actually is. I was starting to think our case fell behind someones desk never to be found again!

Our case status has not changed since April 5,2014. The automated phone message says it is still in Lee Summit.

Thanks for the info. Turns out after looking at their Public Engagement website, it appears it would be of no help to us.

As for the Teleconference with the Director of USCIS, it was a waste of time. They only took 3 telephone questions because of phone problems. They did not get to me. The Director made a 15 minute opening statement focusing on H-4 visas (visas for dependents of H-1b work visa holders) which seems to have been a problem and on the recent executive action. The questions answered focused on these two problems. There were two questions regarding LGBT immigration, specifically regarding refuge status from nations that persecute them. There was one question regarding the knowledge and information given by customer service agents...The director says that he will work on it...Otherwise there was nothing about family-based AOS at all...It was a waste of an hour, oh well...what did I expect anyway...

Response to congressional inquiry confirms my suspicions! My case is not at the New York City field office, and is not necessarily being scheduled for an interview (as I've been told twice).

A review of our systems shows Case MSC149092xxxx, Form I-485, A# Axxxxxxxxx, DOB xxxxxx filed by Mr. xxxxxx was received on 4/14/14. We received Mr. xxxxxx's biometrics on 5/7/14 and his case is currently pending at the NBC. Mr. xxxxxx’s case has been identified as a possible interview waiver case and is currently being held at the NBC pending a field office review. The interview waiver cases are being shipped to the local USCIS field offices for adjudication based on field office capacity and not necessarily office of jurisdiction. At this time the processing time is approximately 9-12 months from the receipt date. Once further action is taken on this case notice will be sent to the address of record.

My congressman's liaison asked me to contact her again if I haven't had any movement within 6 weeks. I'm just happy for now to get a clear answer.

After the information, I know that the case process time 9-12 month is based on the receipt date of 485. not the date of PIWL. Now I guess (maybe Hopeful) USCIS are processing the case 485 received in the March. I am looking forward to hear more approvals start from April. By the way, is here anyone apply the 485 in Feb and March still waiting?

Consider the action I discribed here a couple of days ago. Your case is way out of the processing date of June 4th at your local field office. I can't tell you it will work; I'm not sure it has worked for us yet...
