Welcome to the club! Unfortunately it's a long wait. USCIS are still processing cases from February 2014.

I've noticed quite a lot of people joining the waiver club over the past week. Wouldn't you think that USCIS would look at the backlog and try to clear that before sending more waiver letters out?

OK I know, that was a stupid queT

thanks but i really do not bother myself i just wondering if everything fine ?

Response to congressional inquiry confirms my suspicions! My case is not at the New York City field office, and is not necessarily being scheduled for an interview (as I've been told twice).

A review of our systems shows Case MSC149092xxxx, Form I-485, A# Axxxxxxxxx, DOB xxxxxx filed by Mr. xxxxxx was received on 4/14/14. We received Mr. xxxxxx's biometrics on 5/7/14 and his case is currently pending at the NBC. Mr. xxxxxx’s case has been identified as a possible interview waiver case and is currently being held at the NBC pending a field office review. The interview waiver cases are being shipped to the local USCIS field offices for adjudication based on field office capacity and not necessarily office of jurisdiction. At this time the processing time is approximately 9-12 months from the receipt date. Once further action is taken on this case notice will be sent to the address of record.

My congressman's liaison asked me to contact her again if I haven't had any movement within 6 weeks. I'm just happy for now to get a clear answer.

Hi Giuseppe,

Do you think they are referring to your 4/14/14 receipt date, so 9-12 months from that date? Or 9-12 months from the receipt date of the NPIW letter?

Hi Giuseppe,

I'm pretty certain that whenever they refer to your receipt date they're talking about the former. That would indicate that I can expect approval some time between now and April, which seems to match up with the dates of those being approved recently.

2013 7/15 I-129F sent, 7/18 received Dallas lockbox, 7/22 NOA1, 10/22 NOA2, 11/15 NVC Case Created, 11/20 NVC Shipped, 11/25 Consulate received, 11/28 Packet 3 received/returned, 11/29 Medical, 12/9 Packet 4 received

2014 1/9 Interview - Approved, 1/15 CEAC - Issued, 1/17 Visa in hand, 2/5 POE: LAX, 4/4 Married!, 4/8 AOS/EAD/AP filed, 4/14 NOA1, 5/7 Walk-in biometrics, 5/19 EAD/AP approved (expedited), 5/22 EAD/AP mailed, 5/23 EAD/AP received, 7/29 Interview waiver letter

2015 4/13 AOS approved (no interview), 4/22 Green card received

2017 1/17 I-751 ROC filed (VSC), 1/23 NOA, 2/28 Biometrics

2018 1/31 ROC approved

2020 1/14 N400 filed

Hello everyone, We are new to the forum.

We too have filed I-485 on 4-5-14 and recieved potential interview waiver letter on 07/10/14 and have not had anything else happen. We are in Southern California. I sent in a request for "out of normal processing time" on 12/03/2014 and no response. I sent another request on 01/07/15 and our activity shows on 01/19/15 that they sent a response in the mail. I will update after we get the response.

I see here that their are many many others in the same situation as us. The EAD card will expire in June, so I suppose that if we dont hear anything by the end of February will will have to file an EAD renewal. Is is true that will not have to PAY AGAIN for the renewal as long as the I-485 is still pending? Also, If the GC comes before the renewal, do we just ignore the renewal case?

I wish us all good luck with this very slow system.

nlhernan,

This is what I have;

As of January 21, 2015, your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number WKDxxxxxxx343MSC, is currently not assigned for processing.

I don't know what they mean for notice not receive? Despite I asked why it is out of processing time. I understood that the ending "MSC" is like sending request to National Benefit Center (instead of BOS office).

As I know, many I485 applicants filing in Oct 2014 already got GC at Boston Office, so frustrated!

There dosen't seem to be any clear reason for any of this. When I think I kinda have the system figured out, I find out I am so very wrong!

Does anyone know which office CLT is? I'm guessing Charlotte, as we recently moved to NC. My Service Request is ending with CLT. Should that also mean that's where our case file is located?

CLT is in fact the Charlotte field office. I would have told you yesterday that the SR suffix was an indicator of your geographical location in terms of the field office serving that area and not necessarily where it will be processed. Both GiuseppeG and our suffices were NYC and neither has left NBC...And that was what I was told by a Tier 2 agent in Dec. But after the information Pat80 posted regarding their recent SR, I'm not sure what the suffix means anymore...

That is word for word (except for identity, of course) the same letter that we got in mid-Dec from a Senatorial inquiry. It is relitively "good" news because it appears you will not have to interview after all. But it begs 2 questions:

1). Why did you get 2 spurious responses to the contrary? Does the right hand know what the left hand is doing? Wait don't answer that, I said there would be 2 questions not 3...It was unnecessary, nerve wracking and just plain wrong...

2). How and why are Interview Waiver cases handled at NBC, including all communications? I guess you could say that's a religious question because God only knows...

So it comes down (if you had any choice in the matter, which of course you don't) adjudication without interview = longer wait time versus adjudication with an interview which = GC soon there after. Even at this late date, give me the interview. At least we'll know a real decision is imminent...

Well I'm logged in for the conference call with the USCIS Director and listening to awful music. How about you nlhernan?

Music is just as bad on my end...
