Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case

What bothers me about your 2 service requests both stating that you will be interview is that it is taking so long to even schedule. We know a couple with a NOA date in mid April (well after ours) who got one of those "miracle" early interviews at the same field office. She got her request for interview in May, was interviewed the last week in June and had a GC in hand in mid July. So my question is why has it taken over a month to decide when to schedule an interview for you. When they want to they can move heaven and earth, and when they don't, they can drag their feet. I sorry to hear this...It stinks...The hindrance continues...

Something in me is still saying that their response is incorrect and that they're just sending me generic answers. I know that it's still possible to be called for an interview, but it seems very uncommon, and I believe our case to be a relatively straightforward one. We front loaded the I-129F petition with tons of evidence, and everything else has been a walk in the park. I just struggle to see why I, out of everyone here waiting, would be required to attend an interview.

We'll see, I guess!

I'm wondering if the field office processing times on the USCIS website have been updated. I just tried to submit a second service request because absolutely nothing happened with the first one, but it told me I couldn't because I'm within normal processing times. When I checked the Omaha location it now says it's processing petitions from March 12th, but it also says 'as of November 30th' which doesn't make sense.

I hope so. I guess I won't hear back from them until after Tuesday with Monday being a holiday. I'm in New York City though, not New Jersey. Processing date for NYC as of Nov 30th was May 6th cases.

And you and we are in the geographical vicinity to this office and we are both well outside of the processing time. You can almost hear the executives at USCIS saying now: "Don't those numbers continue to look so good and my bonus will reflect that."

We made our second service request on line using this form on 1/8/15 and instantaneously a message popped up on My Case "...is currently not assigned for processing..." even before the message saying "...was assigned to an officer for response...." which was posted later in the day...You know the only place it went was to a computer server which spit out the trash that they post...If that is their idea of an officer, than we're all in trouble. Can you say useless? What a crock...

When it's so routine for them I guess it's difficult for them to remember that it's not so routine for us. Like, gaining permanent residence and a massive sense of security in your life is no big deal?

I got a response to my service request i made a couple weeks ago. The letter says my case is en route to my local field office, although they have not received it yet. Once they receive it, it will be reviewed within 60 days.

Still pretty vague. But oh well, just gotta keep waiting and hope for the best :)

Wow, the Omaha office is way behind. These processing times, if they really pertained to us (and they don't), are generated supposedly every month by the 15th, BUT in reality they dribble out in the same arbitrary manner as NPWI cases out of NBC. Even though it's January and not November and you would think that there has been some progress in the past month and a half (and that's debatable), it appears they use these numbers for the geographical field office serving our area as the threshold dates for our case as to whether it is in or out of processing time on a service request...that is probably why they rejected your request saying it was still within processing date.

And what is really crazy is that they are farming cases out to distant field offices for processing to off load overload ones. So if that is the case, you are really out of processing time for the majority of the local field offices...Unless there is a reason for interviewing you, they will probably divert away from Omaha anyway...Can you say stupid?

I know, it's ridiculous. Weird as well that I managed to submit a service request the exact same way last month but now it won't let me. Just have to sit tight I guess.

Haha, thanks! It was long but I feel fortunate because it could have been a lot longer.

Interesting about not needing a new medical. I got one through approved doctors at the Montreal Consulate prior to my K-1 approval and moving to the US. All my vaccinations were up to date and I met all the requirements, so maybe that is why? Not sure if being from Canada had anything to do with it.
