By the way, I just called USCIS and was told that "these types of cases are at their local offices." When I asked why there is such a delay with these types of cases, I was told that there is a backlog of cases. I'm going to file a service request today.

I was assured by Tier 1 2 months ago that my file was at the NYC field office...In a subsequent call to to Tier 2 to find out why we got erroneous text messages, I was informed that Tier 1 was incorrect and that it was still at NBC...Take Tier 1 information with a grain of salt; they are not privy to all relevent info that Tier 2 has access to...

My service request on the 8th of Jan had a NYC suffix (my geographical field office). Not more than 5 seconds after I submitted it on line, it came back that my case was unassigned. I can guaranty that it did not go to the NYC office to get that answer...our file is still in Missouri and we are stlll in misery...

We congratulate you and are hapy to finally see the NPWI line move further forward into late Jun 2014...

It appears that the vast majority of the Jun 5th NPWI members have been approved -- not all -- and there are still a few even earlier. We are fellow 6/27'ers (receipt date 3/25/14). I do not recall whether there I saw any other NPWI dates between 6/5 and 6/27, I may be wrong. Ours should be soon (though it took almost 1-1/2 months from late November from the 1st 6/5 NPWI approval to yesterday, the most recent); we hold no illusions for a January approval...

Thank you! We were June 27th NPIW. It looks like things are starting to move. I hope you get your approval soon....

Right before I got approved, I submited another service request, and on the day of my approval uscis responded me saying if I don't hear from uscis within the next 30 days I need to make an INFOPASS appointment at USCIS Tampa to inquire further.

why Tampa? Is that where my case was? Makes no sence, but it is a good thing that I received my card, otherwise it would cost me over $500 to fly round trip ID-FL to go to an infopass appointment.

That was the field office with one of the lowest workload at the time compared to your local field office. When they ship your case to a distant field office they know that you are approved...they just have to push the right button on the computer for the card approval...the inertia is great...

my service request went from saying that it was assigned to officer on Dec 29th to saying it was assigned on Jan 13th

Anyone have any idea what that means? I doubt it, but just curious

I don't have any idea, but when your case is assigned (especially the most recent), that means there's some kind of movement, especially since 1 6/27 NPWI case has already been approved. The only way to know is to bother Tier 2 and ask for clarification...

Thanks for the info. Please keep us informed - us other 6/27 waiverites are very interested...

Congratulations, strong work. What was your receipt date (NOA)?

It's great.to see continued movement, but I gotta admit I am more than a touch frustrated (like CutePansy probably was for a long time) when that movement is beyond our NPWI date...

Congrats from a fellow July 10th-er! Very happy to be seeing things moving along.

I filed a service request last month and was supposed to hear from someone by January 13th. Guess what... still not assigned, what a surprise!
