I submitted two requests and I got the same response for both of them such as my application is pending. They told us to renew EAD within 120 days. My EAD will expire on 06/02/2015 so I am ready to send them out by 02/05/2015. I have contacted my congressman and have not heard from them almost one month and I definitely burn that letter lol. I have filled out the CIS Ombudsman Form DHS-7001 yesterday so I am still waiting on their response.

Just to check in with those who have used their AP (I'm assuming you have AP/EAD combo cards?):

All you need to do is show the AP card with your passport (and marriage certificate as I have different names on my documents) at immigration?

Does the airline need to see the documents before boarding?

Has anyone had any issues with the airline not recognizing AP cards?

I'm just ultra-paranoid I'll fail to file an important form or something. Plus the whole different names in different countries makes me worry :)

I have used my EAD/AP combo card in August this year. I had a 1 stop flight from Germany to NC and from NC to NYC with United airlines. United airlines knew what the advance parole was and told me it was no problem to use It. So last minute I was told that I was transferred to another airline because there wasn't enough time for me to go trough customs in NC and to still be able to make my NYC flight. United airlines transferred me to British airlines (Biggest mistake). I was told 60 minutes before departure. Anywho, British airways told me to show my Gc. I said I don't have any yet, that's shst the AP is for. They didn't allow me to travel with the AP so they made me get a last minute ESTA at the airport in Germany and use this to get on the plane (What a waste of money). I had to make a stop in London and from there went straight to NYC. At JFK I showed the officer my passport and EAD/AP card. He accompanied me to a separate office where I had been sent to before when I came in the US with the K1 visa. It took about 20 minutes before I got my papers back and was good to go.

I had a completely different experience with British Airways. I showed my EAD/AP card at check-in and no questions were asked. At the gate I was asked if I was travelling on a green card or advance parole. I flashed my EAD/AP card and I was allowed to board immediately.

You can renew your EAD up to 120 days before expiry, but not before this. See instructions for electronic filing here.

If I'm reading that right, if you want to renew electronically you have to pay the fee? I know theres no fee to renew your EAD as we're still processing I-485 but from what I can see there we have to renew by mail, since we have to include our NOA1 anyway to waive the fee?
