Congratulations BoJo! It only took them nearly a year!

I'm just thinking expiring medicals again ... please could I ask what date you had your overseas K1 medical and if you had any other medical since that date? Your entry to the U.S. was December 13, 2013, correct?

Congrats again!

The medical is the main thing playing on my mind right now Derwood, I'm so damn anxious getting an RFE to have do another one!

Does that mean you do indeed have good news for me BoJo, did you not have to do another medical?

Thanks Derwood! Yup, i was worried about my medical too because my only medical was before i got here dated october 15, 2013 which is obviously over a year old now....but it seems they have approved it without RFE for new medical which is a good thing and a relief indeed...no other updates since last night too from the time we filed last feb apart from finger print fee received...then just today when i checked, the welcome notice :0)....looks like there is movement again for the NPIW

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Thank you so much for that BoJo!

So that's good news guys. We have a confirmed NPIW approval where the medical date and the POE date were over a year. I know that every case is different and there's no consistency in the USCIS realm but this is still good news!

It makes me feel better now Derwood, BoJo's was well over a year, mine actually expires January 9th (Friday) so I was worrying about it. As you say theres never any consistency but it puts my mind at ease at least, hopefully we all hear news soon!

Any idea why they assigned an officer to my Service Request and then apparently dropped it a few days later, did he just give up or what?

2lszkzm.png

I simply think it means that they assigned an "officer" (flunkie) with Tier 2 clearance to look in the computer to see it's still in MO where there apparently are no case workers to work on family based I-485's. It is there where there is only another flunkie (not a case officer) who occasionally gets bored and pushes a few of these cases to any old local field office where it is then and only then assigned to a case office for process and approval...I only say this because one of our fellow NPWI'ers documented this in Nov/Dec before they got approved (Jun 5th letter)...and this what USCIS wrote to my Senator...though I do remember that our government is run by liars...ooopppss, I meant lawyers...

I know why Natonstan. The officer went to look for your case but then he realised it was in the NPIW cave, where there be dragons, and he thought "PAWH. I ain't going in there".

I only hope that when a case officer is ultimately assigned, they can read the dragon-singed pages...

Mine is the same. I don't try to make sense of these things anymore.

For anyone who is worried about traveling on the AP card, just wanted to let you know I re-entered the US yesterday using it and it was absolutely fine! There was a separate line for GCs and APs and although it took a while I didn't have to go to secondary. You have to fill in a white form (can't remember the actual name) and the officer asked me questions about my application such as my mum and dad's names. Make sure you're not in a rush if you're connecting to a second flight though because it does take kind of a long time and it took a while to figure out which line I was supposed to be in.

In other news my 6 month anniversary of the PIW letter is in 4 days and my 1 year anniversary of living in the US is in 3 weeks. Definitely never thought it would take this long.

I have a small question for you.

What documents did you show to the authorities (Airlines, Customs etc.) in your home country before taking a flight to USA to prove that you are allowed to enter USA.

Just the EAD/AP card? My biggest fear is some of those people not recognizing or being aware with EAD/AP cards.

Yep, just the EAD/AP card. Some of the people I encountered along the way didn't know what it was but the ones that mattered did. The woman at the check in desk just had to put the details from the card into the system, as soon as she saw the card she said "Oh, are you waiting for your greencard?". There was another person on the same flight using AP too so I don't think they're that uncommon.
