With all the stress in this process ranting is therapeutic.

We all suffer from making our file look too good for our K-1 visa...My wife met a woman at her first visit to the US Embassy in Tashkent who knew her petitioner fiancé for 3 months. He is 8 years younger than she is and I can tell you from day one they are not destined for their 4th anniversary (after citizenship). They do not share finances and barely talk to each other. The age difference and short relationship flagged them for an interview. They got their GC in July. Their AOS file was received by USCIS 2 weeks after ours, in mid April. My wife cannot talk to her anymore....it's too painful.

So like I said before, the process makes us rivals with others...not good...

Ouch I can see how that is painful to hear about :(

Though I suppose if you think of it this way, we don't have to have interviews so we don't have to try and explain ourselves to other people, or try to prove anything. We know our relationships are genuine. So the bright side is at least they have some faith in us!

After you've waited 9 months since submission and 6 months from NPWI letter I'd have rather had an interview. At least I'd know I'd have a GC within a month. I have nothing to hide and I have a lawyer that I paid to accompany us. I stand to lose that money since chances are high that we won't get one...

Indeed, but at least you'd know there was positive action - someone is actually dusting off our case and actually touching it and looking at it. The silence (and belligerence when you call) is deafening. The biggest frustration would be what took you so long...I say, please give us an interview...

Oh God no! I'm going to be panicking now, as far as I'm aware my medical would expire towards the end of this month, if it's based on when you hand it in at POE that would make mine expired by the end of Februarym this isn't good news at all and I think it's ridiculous that it would have to come out of our pockets!

It's difficult to comment on other peoples cases without knowing the specifics but I saw another NPIW approval on 29th December 2014 where the POE was the 4th October 2013. On the face of things the approval was well over a year from POE and there was nothing posted about them needing a new medical.

It's the consistency that I love.

This whole process has been a joke, I just called USCIS, first women as usual had no idea what the Interview Waiver Letter was, called back and this woman was just as helpful, she just told me to submit a service request and wait 30 days, its so ridiculous, my last update in regards to the online tracking was an RFE which I responded to and afterwards received the EAD so they obviously received my response and were satisfied enough to approve my EAD. Then the following month was the Interview Waiver Letter in July but my online tracker still shows they sent an RFE back in May so anytime I call their immediate response is "So did you respond"... YES I responded and I got my EAD and a stupid 6 month waiver notice... God this is so frustrating and unfair to us in limbo

Absolutely infuriating. Oh well, back to standby.

All we can do is continue to wait, take things day by day... or month by month.. I just tell myself that complaining won't help, just gotta sit back and let things play out, lets hope we hear something soon, at least we have our little Waiver club here, would suck to be going through this alone!

For me, the most frustrating thing is I have no clue when will my GC get approved? As the 6 months mark from interview waiver letter date is not real anymore from what we've seen. They cannot do what they promise. It looks like they random the case to process and we have to wait for our luck.

My deadline will be due on 10th Jan. I plan to go back my home country to visit my parents in the next 3 weeks with AP; but if my GC get approved before I fly, I have to cancel my flight and wait for physical card as AP will be invalid. If I only knew that it will be delay for >6 months, I would go back home since last year.

I put service request since Nov and got respond from my field office that may case was not with them but NBC; and they forward my request on Dec 2. Now, it met 1 month and today the status on USCIS website still shows that my request for this question has not been assigned yet :dead:

Now I just pray for any letter from them next week saying something about my case so that I can move on with my life.

Good Luck for everyone!

I'm in the same boat as you, I never reached the approval stage before getting the letter.. I mean we can only assume we're approved since they obviously had a reason to look at our cases and come to the conclusion that we most likely didn't need an interview, I do have a feeling that this month will bring us good news, I mean all we can do is wait anyways

Drip, drip...dribble, dribble. In a little over 1 month we've seen approvals for NPWI letters with dates of 6/5 and one from 6/10 and there are still Apr and May letter holders still waiting...at this rate they'll be addressing our GC to our heirs, though they'll only do that after the renewal of our 25th medical exam...

I didn't think about an AP being invalid after a GC is approved ...I guess FedEx to Uzbekistan might be an option if we travel in late Jan as our immigration attorney advised we could...Another wrinkle...but that could be wishful thinking...

Then today I applied for a car loan. I tried to get a joint loan to further assist my wife's credit...They could not process her without a Resident Alien number...Same answer when I tried to get her a Roth IRA before the new year...screwed again...

Yes, this process is infuriating and is greatly affecting our daily lives...and USCIS doesn't give two shakes of a rat's tail about it...
