Hi everyone.....

It's kind of surprised that some of us getting NPIW on June 5th still not receive GC. I don't think my case will be approved by next month; however, I'd like to update with you guys for the NPIW dated you on your letter so that we can roughly estimated timeline. Hi all, interview waived frustrated parent of the us citizen here, papers filed on March 28th, waiver received on July 14th, dated July 10th. Stuck on acceptance stage since April 2nd.

I hope that you guys are being nice to the people at the USCIS call centers. I work at a call center for a govt agency, and sometimes the information we can give people is so limited. We tell people one thing, then we get calls completing disproving everything we have been told to tell people.

For us, we're only allowed to give the information provided to us by the people higher up in the company. But a lot of time there are rumors and speculation spreading throughout the office, so a lot of the people answering the phones get pressured by the caller into giving potentially false information, solely just to give the caller a false sense of comfort. Which is not good, but dealing with a consumer who is upset because you cant tell them what they want to know is not fun to deal with.

There is a good chance that this is a big reason why you are either being told nothing helpful, or being told different things by different people.

It is no fun being the "doormat" to an agency where you are hired to be the insulator for the higher ups causing the havoc you have to deal with. Been on the receiving end as well; even though its not your fault or of your making it still hurts when irate people unload on you...I am angry at USCIS but I also know these call center tier 1 workers are not to blame...I always preface my call by saying that I am not mad at you personally, just the agency and its insane policies...A thank you at the end is always important.

2) Limited term drivers license issued ( State of Texas )

3) Unable to get loans that extend past the limited term drivers license. i.e. car loan

We went to the bank to finanace a car; we were told due to the limted term drivers license that they could not make a loan past the validity date of the drivers license.

Also every day we wait now is another day at the other end until we can apply for citizenship. Those who have had interviews and been approved are eligible to become citizens much sooner than those waiting 9-12 months with no decision.

That I can currently work and travel is a sidebar to the problem, that problem being that it shouldn't take a year to process an application that doesn't require an interview. It's especially unfair that some of us will be facing the unnecessary costs of redoing our medicals, through no fault of our own, on top of the $1075 we've already paid.

You hit the nail on the head.

I constantly wonder why interviewed applicants aren't put back into the bin with ours at the appropriate receipt date. After a successful interview, that are on par with us "rotters" and should wait just as long. Fair is not in the lexicon of the USCIS...

It's as though there is a GC quota maximum for a certain time period and they dribble NPWI applicants out to stay within it; otherwise how long does it take to say yes to a file that requires no interview - a millisecond, maybe 2...

According to USA Today in June 2013:

"Not everyone has to wait in line. U.S. citizens who are over 21 can get green cards for their spouses, minor children and parents right away without having to worry about the green-card limits."

So if there is no limit, they pre-screen "red flagged" cases for interview and subsequent quick GC (I'm talking about I-485 after K1/K3), and NPWI cases (for the most part) don't get interviewed, simply processed; that begs the question - why the slow dribble? And since there are now limited number of examiners for interviews and only questionable cases are actually interviewed...why are they more special than us to get quick GC's? It makes us rivals when we should all be happy for each other that we found the right mate and they are now with us in the US (in limbo status if we don't get an interview, but with us).

Again fairness means nothing to USCIS...I'd be willing to bet that the executives at USCIS don't even understand the injustice of what they're doing or even care..

I had my biometrics appointment the same day, also the letter dated the same day. I wonder how much longer we'll have to wait - from what I see, probably 2-3 months?

I've never got angry at the USCIS customer service people, yes its frustrating we're having to wait for no good reason, but I also know it's not their fault, it's the higher ups that shove us in the pile, it's such a joke, I'm just praying that January-February brings fresh approvals

I have submitted two service requests within 3 months and I dont think it helps at all. The problem is that the file is at NBC ( my local office told us that), however the local office was replying my requests. Therefore, the service request is useless in my opinion.

I have contacted my Congressman last week and hope I can hear something from him soon. My 6 months is due last week.

I submitted one last week and I was confused as to why the last 3 letters said DAL (Dallas) then I found out the local office services the requests which like you said is useless..
