Thanks you! It is! I remember I posted about it couple of days ago, they really did surprise me. I was already expecting it to be a bad news letter. I am glad I have no more worries about my Green card this coming Christmas. Hehe!

Last night I got an email from USCIS regarding my AOS:

I haven't receive that kind of email yet. In the Welcome Notice it says I should receive my green card within 3 weeks.

They're likely referring to the scaremongering statement from the USCIS union last year. It simply referred to the plan to expand eligibility for interview waiver cases. I highly doubt there's any way

Congratulations to you both. It's great to see some NPIW approvals at long last.

I wonder if we might use both of your cases to try and answer a question about expiring medicals please? What date did you have your medicals on? Were they over a year old when you were approved?

Hi, I don't exactly remember the exact date but it was around 3rd weeks of January this year when I have my medicals, but since I arrive here in the USA last October I had to take a flu shot and "surgeon's waiver"? (I have such a poor memory) then the surgeon sealed my medical result in a brown or gold envelop.

So I am not sure what medicals you are referring to. if you are talking about my medicals in the Philippines, it was already expired last Sept 6. I've done mine Sept. 5 to 6, 2013

Hi everyone. Im new on vj. I've been reading your comments & I think it's a great website. currently my AOS is still pending at NBC (from k1). noa is march 7, biometrics on April 9th. Got my ead/ap card on may 15.. and finally received interview waiver letter on June 5th. And nothing ever since! I requested for inquiries my case being outside of the normal processing time (philadelphia field office) still no answer. Hope will get something before Christmas... Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Has anyone been approved with an expired medical?

B's medical expired a few days ago. Our NOA is 3/31/14 an we received the NOPIW letter on 7/10/14. I'm just starting to get nervous we'll have to redo it and it'll take more time (and money).

Something magic happened the day before Thanksgiving! After having received the letter last Saturday notifying me of an additional wait of 60-90 days I didn't have much hope of receiving my GC before Christmas...but on Wednesday a USCIS officer called my mother-in-law to make sure he had the right address because he wanted to approve us that day! My status online first changed to "card production" and then "we have registered your permanent residentship and sent you a welcome notice" :dancing: :joy: I am SO HAPPY and THANKFUL!

Does anyone know how the long the wait for the card is after they send the welcome notice?

Hoping for more approvals really soon for everyone in here :)

Got an update today while working. I ask my hubby to check my status on USCIS website and he told me the green card is already in our mail box. He check our mail box outside and the package from USCIS was indeed already outside our doorstep. Thank God! Such a nice gift coz today is our anniversary hehe.

It is such a perfect timing. God's perfect time. :)

Hoping and praying for everyone who are still waiting for updates to receive positive news soon. :)
