Yes, the wait has been awhile, which is why I'm so excited. I also, unfortunately, wasn't able to file my AOS right away, which meant slight overstay, and me not wanting to risk travelling. With this, I'll be able to visit my family back home, I haven't seen them in 2 years :)

The good news is, it did say I was getting a 10 year greencard, not the 2 year, which means my wife and I can pretty much have 10 years of normality, and not stressing over the waiting!

congratulations! Im wondering why they skip and come back to cases they have skipped?! because almost all of the service centre processing times are past january 2014! can't relay on the USCIS processing time anymore!

Too be somewhat fair, they did send me a RFE around January (my civil surgeon forgot to include an x-ray report =/), so in theory, it should have been 12 months or there about.

Strange if he forgot to include the xray report, then how come you didn't ring them up and collect it. I can't remember where or how I got mine now its SO long ago, but I do know I had it when I went POE! They didn't ask for it as it was separate to the big envelope. I didn't send it with AOS as no one has asked for it and I am sure it would be in the surgeon's report any way, unless of course you have the xray and in the big envelope the surgeon forgot to add the report? Did you get an RFE for your flu jab too?

Don't jump the gun yet. That your case is in Massachusetts means you are not going to be interviewed. there is a very limited number of interviewers. THis is why so few of us in our visa class get interviewed. It is why they created a Interview Wavier category for family-based AOS. Interviews are scheduled about a month in advance. By that time you will have a green card. We wanted an interview in the past and our lawyer requested one to no avail. They interview when they want to interview and you can't get them to do anything else otherwise. I would just cool your jets and wait for another couple of weeks...hopefully by that time you'll have your welcome letter and hopefully not a RFE...That is our hope.

If you haven't filled out an ombusman inquiry do that, please mention that there are a lot of us out there waiting...that's what I did.

You rock nlhernan, mentioning all of us. THANKS!!!! :)

Enorman's wait was comparable in a relative sense to your K-1 saga. I applaud both your patience.

Like your drawing, please explain...

Haha, well unfortunately I can't take credit for that masterpiece of a drawing-- though it perfectly expresses how I felt as soon as I read our friend has been waiting on AOS since last January! The thought makes me sick!

As for my K-1 experience, that was its own headache! First off, it took an extra long time to receive our NOA2, because the Vermont Service Center was backed up heavily, so a handful of cases (mine included) got transferred over to the Texas Service Center to lighten the burden. When I finally did receive it, and sent off our other packets etc, we had to deal with scheduling an interview. You would think that Canada, the second largest country on Earth, would have more than 2 consulates for visa processing (Montreal and Vancouver).. pretty crazy if you were to live in one of the prairie provinces or far Eastern provinces where it would make more sense to schedule a flight to get to your interview than to drive there.

So since this was the case, these consulates were booked for many months in advance-- and the one closest to me is known for being notoriously slow. When it was finally time to schedule an interview online (around late september?) the closest interview available was the last week in February, 5 months away. Luckily for me, I worked from home at the time and was able to constantly refresh the appointment calendar website every few minutes to see if anyone cancelled theirs, and eventually I was able to secure a spot on January 21st, 2 days before my birthday. The interview went smooth and my visa was approved on my birthday (best gift I've ever received was from USCIS-- hard to imagine, right?).

I felt bad for the people signing up for their interviews a few weeks after me. Eventually it got to the point where you simply couldn't schedule an interview of any kind, they were entirely booked up and you just had to wait your turn till the Montreal Consulate opened up the site for more appointments. A lot of people were angry because people who applied after them were snatching up interviews before they could.

It was definitely a huge mess, glad that part of it's over haha :P

Good morning! I think that the 'card production ordered' is the message signifying that your details have been passed to the company that produces the green cards in Corbin, Kentucky. I'm guessing you'll have it within one week. Great news buddy!

I wouldn't worry about it sweetie, a USCIS officer told someone there was a glitch in their computer system and we have to believe everything they say as we are all numbskulls!! Seriously though, I am sure it is the computer system or someone inputting it in twice.

You will get your GC so don't worry! I would frame the Wulcum letter once it gets to you. . The card should be there within 7 or 8 days of approval, if its a lot longer then you can worry! We are all getting a tad paranoid because we have lost ALL faith in the immigration process! Heck I don't even bother checking my status any more!
