Hmm then they will have to transfer our cases from current local office to the office near our house, which can take time as well; e.g I will either have to go to Lawrence, MA where my case is or wait till it arrives to NYC.

Who can we ask about this? Tier1?

Don't jump the gun yet. That your case is in Massachusetts means you are not going to be interviewed. there is a very limited number of interviewers. THis is why so few of us in our visa class get interviewed. It is why they created a Interview Wavier category for family-based AOS. Interviews are scheduled about a month in advance. By that time you will have a green card. We wanted an interview in the past and our lawyer requested one to no avail. They interview when they want to interview and you can't get them to do anything else otherwise. I would just cool your jets and wait for another couple of weeks...hopefully by that time you'll have your welcome letter and hopefully not a RFE...That is our hope.

If you haven't filled out an ombusman inquiry do that, please mention that there are a lot of us out there waiting...that's what I did.

Can't make heads nor tails of this post . They announce they were married on Feb 13th 2015, but say they applied for AOS in August 2014? What I find interesting is they think that their AOS is at the Texas Service Centre and that an immigration officer told them to request an interview to move things on. Who ever told them this should be taken out back and shot...You cannot request an interview...Let me restate that, you can request an interview but they won't listen to you. Our lawyer requested one on several occasions and got told to pound sand...

It's bad enough when Tier 1 is ignorant and tells you incorrect info about where your case resides at this momnent.or that Tier 2 can be a pain in the butt and very rude. When they outright lie and say you can request an interview AND say that the Texas Service Center is handling their case when they know all AOS cases are processed through (and incarcerated at) NBC and then shunted to local FO's; that is criminal...The ombusman or HLS Inspector General should hear about this one...

It's funny to think how almost happy I was when I got this NPIW letter in June, now it's like "get me outta here, please, Uncle USCIS" :oops:

We were happy about it as well until we tripped upon this thread in the summer of 2014 and saw that PIWC was pergatory...Then we latched on Processing Times and that was a farce...And then we latched on the 6 month mark from the NPIW letter and that was a farce... And then we latched on the less than 12 months and that is becoming a farce...In every single case we have seen that Interview Waiver status is nothing more than a death sentence on hold awaiting the governor to call...

So I just got 3 notifications from USCIS..... all acceptance notifications for my wife's EAD/AP renewal, woohoo... **BEEPING** USCIS send me the notification I've been waiting almost a year for!!!

My AOS application was received in Jan 2014, I received the potential wavier letter around June, might have been before or after, I would have to check.

congratulations! Im wondering why they skip and come back to cases they have skipped?! because almost all of the service centre processing times are past january 2014! can't relay on the USCIS processing time anymore!

Never could, never should...those numbers mean nothing to us and if a chair at USCIS is less wobbly because your file perfectly levels it out, than that file will rot a little longer at NBC where there is no processing time for family-based I-485's...Get off the processing time train early and stay off it. Those dates will only disappoint you...

And while we're at it, let's revisit the statement made by a Tier 2 agent that said all of our SR's take time away from immigration officers and that a SR requires pulling the file thereby taking it out of consideration for that period. We said it was hog wash then and we have 2 examples in the last 2 days to illustrate that it is. Enorman apparently did not file SR's or make calls and they waited 14 months. Natonstan was the proverbial "squeeky wheel" and he "got the oil" in 10 1/2...
