My husband and I will try contacting senator's office next week. I know that they cannot expedite the process, but hopefully they can at least give us a little bit of clarification on where my case is right now and why it is taking uscis so long to approve it.

the interview waiver letter states "approx. 6 months from date of letter. (next sunday for you, my b-day!) Then you can call phone number in the letter and see if they have any info. for you.

I got the waiver same date as you. My son got his green card. But not my wife

Wow! Did you try to call to see what's going on?

This is probably a stupid question, but there are so many posts to wade through! We got one of these letters a while back (can't find it now to check the date) but I'm wondering, does anyone ever get a letter saying that their case has FOR SURE been waived of the interview requirement and FOR SURE sent to CSC? Or is it just these "potential" waiver letters. Does everyone who get these letters end up getting the interview waived or do some people still have them? I'm bummed to learn that I'm on the long route yet again... :/ But at least the waiting is much easier now that we are waiting with our spouses! I'm wondering if I need to start thinking about applying for another EAD/AP card even though we just received the first one on July 30th!

We met when Heather travelled to Egypt to be an au pair!

As far as I am aware, everyone receives the same "POTENTIAL interview waiver" letter. In some cases (very few) people may still have an interview. I have seen it in four or five cases of all the people here on VJ who got this letter - lovebirds85 is one of them (I can't recall the other ones). I'd say the chance of an interview is rather slim, but you never know.

I got the letter at the end of July and since then I've just been patiently waiting, I obviously got my EAD so I'm working which is a great help, but as of now nobody can really do anything but wait.

i am not sure if you were addressing me. just to clarify.. I received waiver letter on 26 th but it is dated like mid october. I waited patiently 6 months and only then gave uscis a first phone call.

And for all I know, some people get the GC 2 months after they got the letter and they said that the uscis website never updated.

So, don't let their web service stress you out.

I got my letter July 2014.

Please, everyone, keep us updated.
