Well yesterday I had a "shitty day", got bitten by some flying insect 14 times on one arm, we had some kind of squirrel or something in the attic, so we called out a guy and the squirrel had gone, to the cost of $50, but it had left a few acorns behind, my son was too busy to come online to tell me Happy Mother's Day, as he had work from home to do, BUT today has made up for it all with Natonstans GC approval!!!! YAY!!! I am rejoicing with this good news might have some salt and vinegar crisps and ice cream to celebrate tonight!!! Where is Nlhernan? You're missing the news!!!!

You can actually file for renewal 120 days prior to expiration :)

And it appears that a lot of people are being called back for a second biometrics appointment, so I'd count on it.

Hmmm.. for question 8 on that ombudsman form-- I'm not sure what they're asking when they say "Type of immigration benefit". Are they asking what I'm trying to apply for, or the type I currently have? :huh:

Permanent Residency I believe is what it was.

Yeah exactly what she said she also said she would talk directly with the super visor at the San fernando valley office

Seems like she just said things to get me off her back

I know it wouldn't be a surprise for you but when i enquired in Jan then they told me that it is in Pittsburgh, our local field office and even when i raised the SR, it ended with PIT but the reply came from Santa Ana, CA...Go figure!!

I am just hoping that one day i will get my GC....I am beyond anger and hope because USCIS can suck it out of you with ease!!!

I had the same thing, service request ending in LAC (I live in LA County), but the case was actually in Washington state. Go figure.

Btw, not sure if you're a cricket fan, but I'm going to watch India v Bangladesh on Thursday...you guys are doing really well this World Cup!

I don't know...according to the website/emails I was approved 03/09, and my card was in production 03/11. I'm still in Oz, so my sister-in-law occasionally checks the mail. Hoping she'll check today and let me know. Still no sign of any of the supposedly USCIS communication they promised to mail about the aforementioned developments (ie a Welcome Letter). Or maybe she just forgot to tell me?

Also, no mention of any tracking number, so I can't tell if its even in the mail. The website is still at "On March 11, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC*******381, and will mail it to the address you gave us." So waiting rather impatiently. Saturday I'm coming back via LAX - maybe immigration there can tell me what's going on?

Ok, well it seems that it takes about 5-7 days to receive anything via snail-mail. Im sure it will be there when you get home. What a nice homecoming that will be!!
