I'm very sure its I-485 pending since we've already filed for our AOS. Ah attorneys, they're just a waste of money really and they often make mistakes, can't depend on them, can't trust them :/

Attorneys are expensive, they complicate things, but unfortunately, lawyers (as legislators) write the laws and make it difficult to navigate things without them. For the most part they are not needed for most of the AOS. However, there are less then ethical USCIS interviewers who will ask naive couples questions that they should not ask and this is where a good immigration attorney is useful. Find a good one is an art. We hired a good one but it now appears that that extra money we paid for his services for the interview was for naught as no interview will occu (as per our most recent SR result).

Only a week and a half away from the end of my six month window for my waiver, I cannot wait to start calling around and put some fire on someones ***. Also, I see that St. Paul office is currently in the month when we filed our AOS, however, since we received a RFE maybe it is the July date instead...

USCIS may be the slowest moving part of the American government, even worse than Congress!

Hello Everyone!

Got the NPIW letter for both my K-1 and K-2, got EAD card for K-1. Is is feasible to get a EAD card for a K-2(child)? Not that I have any desire to put my step daughter work, but can't get her a SSN and it's starting to be a hassle?

We did our K-2's EAD/AP card at the same time specifically to get him an SSN. You need it to claim him/her as a dependent on taxes. Or at least a tax id#. No work in his future either, as he just turned 11, but there were no downsides to him getting his.

I am applying and I am in Minnesota too. How do you know what Saint Paul Office is processing now? Is there a special link to that? I have filed for AOS in July 2014 and nothing so far. I got the Waiver letter on November 2014 and they told me to expect 6 months delay. Thanks

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.doJust look for your field office, although its relevant to put in a service request its not relevant about what times they are processing. Its all "Baloney" as you would say over here!

Good Afternoon Peeps,

Well its a tad depressing to see no approvals yesterday and basically, hardly any all week. It's been a strange week here any way. You all remember my clock thing? Right? Well yesterday all day I heard a scratching and squealing in the cloakroom, my husband reckons we have a squirrel in the attic. I haven't heard it today, perhaps the squirrel heard us mention cat and exterminator? Although probably a protected species.

Any way, we went to the bar to play pool, we do that every other Friday when we aren't visiting the boys in Philly and when we came back and the electric was down, no lights and very dark. At first we thought it has to be the squirrel biting through the wires, but then we saw two other houses with no electric. Strange thing, there was no wind, no rain, no nothing to bring down a power line and then in the middle of the night it suddenly turned on like magic.

As I said a weird week, although what wasn't weird as always was there were minimal approvals again. She yawns!!! So come on USCIS, be weird and unpredictable in the coming week, we are counting on it!!!!!

After scrolling through 100+ pages in the VJ member timeline browser, it is kind of encouraging to see how many approvals there are for late March filers.

Finally some movement on our case. I got a letter yesterday dated March 6th that I need to update my medical since it expired. Well duh! It's been over a year since I had my medical and they just got to our case. So I have an appointment with a civil surgeon on Monday and hopefully everything will be ready the same day so I can mail it back. The funny thing is I got that letter as they call it continuation notice along with my work permit renewal confirmation letter lol So not sure which one I will get first the green card or my second work permit.. Anyway I'd like to keep positive thinking so fingers crossed for everybody expecting a happy ending of this long wait.

So what was the address on the RFE or where do they want you to send your response? Even though NBC and you are neighbors, you never know what bizarre FO they'll send it to. Within minutes of receiving your Med form, you will receive your welcome to America message. You are on the bubble to be our next GC holder. FedEx your response, it will be worth the money...

Yeah, now that you asked it did seem kind of odd to me to see that letter mailed from Las Vegas, Nevada. And the weird thing is it was addressed to my wife not me even tho I'm supposed to update my medical.
