How long before you get the response from service request you made online. DO you get the response via mail or email? Thanks

I've filed 3 and only 1 was replied to by email, the other 2 came in the post.

2013 7/15 I-129F sent, 7/18 received Dallas lockbox, 7/22 NOA1, 10/22 NOA2, 11/15 NVC Case Created, 11/20 NVC Shipped, 11/25 Consulate received, 11/28 Packet 3 received/returned, 11/29 Medical, 12/9 Packet 4 received

If you post by the web site and check the box saying you want email confirmation, you get it. I only did that the last time and got an email. If by Tier 1 or 2 you have to request it. Even then it'####### or miss...

But is it worth it any way? You get one of the many creative ways of sayin buzz off. The only helpful thing we got from our last SR was to see the return address which was unexpected. IMPERIAL, CA??!!?!! After it was confirmed in the NYC FO on 2/4??!!?! Another of the funny things USCIS does.

Short of a big Friday afternoon document dump which Washington is famous for, this will be another lousy week towards 1 year.

I'm concerned that reverse for them would be to revoke our spouses AOS status and send our immigrant spouses home...

I think we need to stick a fork into USCIS, I think they might be dead...

You took the words out of my mouth; that is exactly what I said when I saw the return address on the SR that was just answered. In Jan, on a demand by me to a receptive Tier 2 agent (is that an oxymoron?), he called the NYC FO to have them request our file. On the 18th of Feb, we called to find out where it was and Tier 2 responded and quoted me that our case had arrived in the NYC FO on 2/4. I asked him to confirm what he told us and he said yes. I can see from the USCIS statistics that the NYC FO is one of the busiest. It appears, and this is only speculation, a review of the case found that there was no need for an interview and they farmed it out to a FO with a lower workload (there's that word again).

The problem is this hemicontinental and then transcontinental excursion may have definately kicked approval past the 1 year mark and my wife's medical passed 1 year last week. One wonders whether if it stayed in NYC or even NBC a little longer, it might have been approved sooner.

This is another of the hilarious moments with USCIS at our expense...

I'm still trying to process it myself...

For renewing the EAD/AP cards what did you all put for Status of Last Entry and Current Immigration Status. The I94 record says DA which I found means Advance Parole. Well, To tell you the truth Im not sure. I trusted the attorney to send these renewals out and he mailed them to the wrong place but the EAD was redirected and we recieved the NOA1 for it but not the AP. So, Im not certain on that now.

I'm very sure its I-485 pending since we've already filed for our AOS. Ah attorneys, they're just a waste of money really and they often make mistakes, can't depend on them, can't trust them :/
