So people, let's face it this is pure BS isn't it!?!? As my friend Nlhernan (I class him as my friend) has suggested it's political, it's many other things as well, so how about someone, like myself :) writing a letter to someone with a bit of authority, doesn't matter who they are as long as it's someone high up!

I will get my husband to compose a letter he is very eloquent with his wording and extremely passionate too. What do we have to lose? Absolutely nothing, right? At this stage I personally feel I have nothing to lose, I can't offend anyone with my views, after all isn't this the country of the free?!?!

Yup , I agree. And I'm offended by anyone whose offended by what you say. I gave 23 years of my life in the service to this country (which I love) for you to keep that right. So your friend says, have at it...

Well, 14 days prior to the one year date that USCIS states they received our case, we received this artfully useless response to our SR:

"Your application is still pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your application."

Now you tell me that took more than 5 seconds to select among the thirty or so stock responses. They rustled no pages and never looked. Simply they'll get around to it when they get around to it...

USCIS is not on my Christmas list this year and heres wishing them many rotten puke green colored eggs on their Easter egg hunt...'nough said...

Ok now I'm thoroughly confused. I just looked at the return address of the aforementioned SR response. It did not come from the NYC FO where it arrived on 2/4. It came from the Imperial, CA field support office where our case has been using my wife's AP to get take out from Mexicali. Can't tell you how long it took to process back into the US with the AP.

So I guess we wait even longer because it jitterbugged from the smelly feedlots of KC to the concrete jungles of NYC to the desert nowheresville of Imperial. And the 60+ day clock starts when it arrived juxtaposed to the Mexican border, whenever that was...

Boy now I do wish we would get an interview, wow, it would be warm, the food be good and spicy, the beaches of SD would be great therapy after brain surgery...Shucks , notta chance...

Good Morning Nlhernan, Good morning Peeps. I can't believe what I am reading, so its not in NYC, it's in CA, although someone was told their file went to an office in NY somewhere yesterday. Unbelievable!!! Sorry I'm in a kind of a funk today, got some sad news from home last night. :( To be honest for today while I digest this news it makes the GC take 2nd place, although I still hope there are approvals. One day there has to be it's inevitable!

Wow, this just gets more crazy by the moment and annoys me. Why don't we ever hear of cases sent to Alaska? The are onto September 25th for their REGUALR files, sounds like they have plenty of time to process ALL of our cases.

it looks like several are having rough days today. all this GC stuff just adds to it. frankly, i don't think its the waiting that's the problem, its the unknown of when it will be approved - and the lack of information along the way. anyway, hang in there --

Good afternoon all. Hope you're OK Shell & T&J.

Well I've been chasing my own a** all morning thanks to USCIS. OK, it wasn't really USCIS fault it was CBP but I lump them all into the 'infuriating immigration *****'' category.

A friend has just arrived on a K1 so I took him down to the delightful Social Security office to get his SSN. He had a social security number from 20 years ago when he was here briefly as a a student but doesn't recall the number. Could we get the number? No. Guess who's fault that is? Correct! The CBP officer at POE had been too busy giving him a hard time (for no reason) and typed an extra zero into his I-94 passport number.Net result equals mis-match. Mis-match equals no SSN. No SSN equals no driving licence, no bank account blah blah blah.

So now they need to travel over an hour to the nearest CBP re-inspection site to get the I-94 corrected. He doesn't drive and neither does his partner so it'll probably be down to me to get him there. I don't suppose USCIS are going to pay for my gas.

Now I realise that the proper response for this situation should be 'It's OK, everyone makes mistakes', however I'm feeling worn down with them today so GRRRR will have to do!
