How long does a EAD card last for , does it have a expiry date?

One year, but it can be renewed if need be.

How long does a EAD card last for , does it have a expiry date?

You will find the expiration date on the card if you look. Make sure you apply well ahead of time for a new one if necessary. Not sure if it is like that in all states, but in Oklahoma my DL also expires on the day that my EAD expires.

2013-08-20 (DAY 8) Noa1 received via Text around 11pm, next day was email. Received my case numbers

2013-08-23 (Day 11)- received hard copy in mail for Noa1 gc , Work permit

2013-08-30 (Day 18) Received Biometrics appointment letter in the mail.

2013-09-17 (Day 25) biometrics appointment day @2pm Detriot

2013-09-25 (Day 33) received text and email , I485 changed to testing and interview

2013-10-02 (Day 40) received text message and email @7am about my interview date

2013-10-04 (Day 42) Received hard copy interview letter in the mail

2013-10-10 (Day 48) Work permit Card in production

2013-10-16 (Day 54) 2nd Text and email @830am Work permit in Production

2013-10-21 (Day 59) text/email notice 10am . Work Permit sent

I also got this letter last week, 10 months after my application for AOS was submitted. hopefully it won't seriously take 16 months total, but at this point i wouldn't be surprised by anything.. sad.png

I also got this letter last week, 10 months after my application for AOS was submitted. hopefully it won't seriously take 16 months total, but at this point i wouldn't be surprised by anything.. sad.png

New orleans is processing January applications, dis you file a service request?

Yup, I'm aware, that's why I'm so mad/sad! I submitted one service request that wasn't responded to within 45 days, so i had to submit another one and this letter arrived a few days later. It states that it serves as a response to any enquiries that have been made into the case. My congressman's office is also looking into but I assume they will now just come back and say that USCIS sent me this letter and that's my update... we'll see. As far as i know my case is still at the NBC (that's what it says when I log in to case status updates).Totally out of line that my local office is handling applications submitted 3 months after mine.

Yup, I'm aware, that's why I'm so mad/sad! I submitted one service request that wasn't responded to within 45 days, so i had to submit another one and this letter arrived a few days later. We have the same field office, I filed mine on January 2013 and they sent me a Potential Interview Waiver Case letter last week. Seems like our application stays at the NBC office for a little while, unlucky us ( :

So far only 2013 applicants seem to have received them. Lucky us.

If I get one now, then I would add 6 more months to the 7 I've been already waiting for. That's one extra year of waiting compared to those who got interviews. Aint life great.

Well, I would assume they are still working on the Waiver cases in some kind of order...? It wouldn't be fair if people who have just applied in say June and people who applied back in January would both have to wait another six months.
