@Natonstan -- ask them to trace your envelope. we ship a lot via usps at work and see all kinds of problems. my latest was 2 packages from amazon via usps that showed delivered, yet they weren't. whe i complained, i was told sometimes the delivery person notes it as delivered, but actually doesn't deliver it until the next day (like that is acceptable.) i had them trace it and after two days they discovered it was never delivered and will deliver tomorrow. crazy...

Timeline

We received the receipt notice in the mail yesterday for the EAD renewal but the receipt didn't say anything about the AP and we sent the applications at the same time. Does anyone know if the AP will be automatically renewed with the EAD if both apps were sent at the same time? Has anyone received their renewal card yet??

I filed two packages (in one envelope), and received two NOA notices in two separate envelopes. And a few days later I received the scheduled biometrics, for April 11th. Pity I left the country April 7th. However...

Welcome Notice Was Mailed

On March 9, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSC*******381. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by May 8, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Haven't told my husband yet as it is 4am in Melbourne (silly jet lag). You guys are first, as I think you need to hear of more approvals. So, I'm hoping immigration can deal next week that my AP is invalid, and GC is approved.

If there is anyone still here who has received their GC, is there a way to track it? Do you receive that information by email (I remember tracking my ead)? Did you have to sign for it? I have my sister in-law checking the mail every few days.

Also, although I'm yet to update my timeline:

Congratulations on your GC approval! Your GC is your AP now! The GC takes around 7 to 8 days to be received from approval, you should get a tracking number for it shortly. No idea if you have to sign for it, but I think it will be the same as your EAD.

Thank you for sharing it with us, enjoy!!!

I put a complaint request in on the Post Office website and I just got a call from my local office asking for the tracking number, she's emailed the Chicago post office to see what's going on with my EAD renewal I sent last week, she said most likely they just didn't scan the delivery. I hope that's the case as it means USCIS at least received it..

I'm glad you got tracking on it!

You couldn't make this up!

I sold something on eBay last month, it was going from here (Texas) to Southern California, it ended up going to Maryland, Washington DC and then finally to California, I think it took the scenic route, after that I'm never going to mail anything with USPS without tracking, I found an article where a guy shipped something from Southern California to Northern California and the tracking said it went via Florida......

Quick check in today. Am laid up with some form of bug so no work today. :(

Anyway today marks 6 months since I got the NPIW letter on 09/10/2014.

I filed an online sevice request with USCIS which is being routed to the local Omaha office.

The automated response states expect a response by April 1, 2015.

Does this make me an April Fool? :goofy:

Anyway I have my AP/EAD renewal forms all ready to send next month if the GC does not get to me in time.
