Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case

I think right now it is. I saw someone posting about ROC today and they mentioned the long wait for it, the back logs. However, by the time we get our AOS sorted out there maybe a change and the USCIS may be on top of approvals for ROC.

I remember our lawyer saying that I could have to wait up to 9 months for our K1, it was approved within 30 odd days for an interview. I was shocked it was so quick. Since then, apparently the K1 for an approval is now around the 9 month period, if it goes to Texas. I also think every visa has a time and a place, a bit like the stock market, one commodity may rise and the other may fall at any given time. It is the luck of the draw, the time, the place and what ever takes precedence!!

All I can say is: political whims...

Hi here's my case. I Filed for my mom's AOS May 2014, received EAD/AP july 2014, received potential waiver interview case letter aug2014, its been 7 months now still no updates yet for my mom's case still fingerprint fee received and her case is in Nebraska. I called a month ago about her case and uscis said wait 15-30 days to get something in the mail and call them back again. I didn't received anything. I am just confused which comes first cause it says on her case history an inquiry about why case taking longer than processing time is assigned for officer for response.then on her next steps it says an inquiry about why taking longer is not yet assigned for processing. I am not sure which one comes first for both has same date February 17, 2015. thanks for taking time to reply.

Good morning everyone! I have watched these boards during our entire process from K-1 to AOS - and applaud all those that post, keep everyone updated and entertained. I hesitated to join, because each day I assumed would be our day to get our AOS/GC approved and there would be no need to keep posting. I was wrong. Here it is almost a year later and now realize it will be months before anything happens. Our AOS was received on 4/14/14, we received our Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on 7/29/14. I have to wonder, does USCIS not realize that their delays only creates more work for themselves? We are now filing to renew the EAD/AP. Its a vicious cycle. Anyway, I didn't just post to vent - but to say HI and THANK YOU to everyone posting - and I will jump in and be more active. PS my guess for approval is 4/24/15 - one can hope, can't they?

Thats the USCIS for you, they like to confuse, probably looking for your file in the pile of files they have there, so they can send it off to a field office. It's a waiting game I am afraid.

Welcome to our thread!!!

Unfortunately when you receive that dreaded letter you know nothing is going to happen for a LONG time!! As for the USCIS creating more work for themselves I have asked that question many times. There seems to be no structure, must be a night mare to work there, I dread to think.

We look forward to your posts and you venting, its the only way we all get through this process to vent, laugh, cry etc, its good for the soul and to destress!

Good morning Peeps, well yesterday I took a back seat and not a single approval. I thought if I did this then there would be some miraculous approvals, but to no avail.

Any way hoping the USCIS play catch up today and I hope that we see many, many approvals. Spring is in the air so the USCIS might feel energised today! May the USCIS force be with you! :)

Not fun man! Whenever I send something via USPS I fill out one of those little green colored cards that requires whoever is receiving it to sign for the package, and then USPS mails me back the signed portion as a proof of receipt.

Today is exactly 11 month since the fingerprint fee was received for my wife's AOS. Sigh...
