Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case

Welcome back, it's nice to see a post from you.

My medical for K1 visa was on January 31st 2014. Will I need to redo my medical as it's been over a year?

USCIS take an inconsistent approach to this (I know, shocker). Some people do have to get a new medical done, whilst other people in the same circumstances do not.

Check the weather forecast on St Swithin's Day to find out if you'll need a new medical.

I'm hoping it won't come to this, but how many months before the expiry of my EAD should I apply to renew it? I think it's 3 months but wanted to double check :)

You can apply 120 days beforehand and I would suggest posting your forms 122 days before the expiry of your current card. New passport photos and a new biometrics appointment will be required.

Thanks for a link!! That's a really interesting and useful information! Wondering if I can get this book from uscis)))

You're welcome. Forewarned is forearmed, especially where CBP officers are concerned.

Hi all, posted here a while ago and thought I'd check back in. Still no news on the green card, though I see I haven't been waiting as long as others! A few things:

My medical for K1 visa was on January 31st 2014. Will I need to redo my medical as it's been over a year?

I'm hoping it won't come to this, but how many months before the expiry of my EAD should I apply to renew it? I think it's 3 months but wanted to double check :)

It depends per field office whether you've to do over ur medical exam. I just wonder, are all of our applications still at the national benefits center in Missouri or will they be transferred to the local field office? Just wondering, because I saw on the USCIS website that the NBC in in Missouri right now is working on October 7th'14 applications whilst Los Angeles is still working on July 27th apps. Just wondering.......

09/30/2014 - Point of Entry 'Vancouver International Airport'

10/09/2014 - Married

10/18/2014 - Filed for AOS/EAD/AP

10/23/2014 - 3x NOA1 text/emails received

11/18/2014 - Case Suspended (RFE is on its way :()

11/25/2014 - Biometrics

12/02/2014 - Response on initial request for evidence was received (case status should be updated before 01/31/2015)

01/27/2015 - EAD/AP card in production and should be mailed to given address.

01/31/2015 - Received EAD/AP Combo card by mail :D

02/18/2015 - Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case :ranting:

06/22/2015 - Received Welcome Letter & AOS approved :goofy:

K1 I-485 interview waiver cases are held hostage at the NBC for about 10 ish months before being released on parole to the first local / field office that can take them. Don't expect that office to be near your family & friends. Oh no, the office is going to be a long way from home. The distant office then carries out the execution, I mean adjudication, but expect a further 60 days wait on death row, once you make it to that office.

With regards to published dates for service centers / local offices just remember this one fact - they do not apply to interview waiver cases. There are no published dates for your case. All we have is published words such as 'delay', 'not related to your case' and 'wait a further 120 days'.

Oh well tomorrow is going to be the 120 day mark for my wife's EAD/AP card. I'll be mailing her renewal forms tomorrow since the card expires 07-07-15. I hope she receives her green card soon. NPIW letter dated 07-29-14. Also 27 more days till our 1 year wedding anniversary. Hmmm..... maybe USCIS will have the heart and mail us her green card for our anniversary. Hope all is well and this wait is giving me a headache.

Hi everybody, a new week, a new hope. I really hope this week will bring a lot more approvals than the previous week.

BTW, an interesting thing happened when I logged in to my profile this morning. Somehow I found this request

"On March 7, 2015, your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number T1D0071504762QNS, was assigned to an officer for response."

I DIDN'T filled out any request especially with Tier 1 lol, I actually had no idea that this is even possible. I thought that to do this they will need my A# number, first and last name etc weeeirdddd

NOA - March 18, 2014

EAD - May 21, 2014

You've guessed it! I thought I would let other's offer their opinions on this process for a while and I thought if I step back for a while gives me time to see some positive movement, it gets a tad depressing at times.

Hoping you will see your approval this week or at least the letter you have been waiting for!

I brought my wife home from the hospital last evening, 8 days after the surgery. She is happy to be home in our house sleeping in our bed. She is far more comfortable. Hospitals are the worst place for sick people; noise, bothered for this temperature, that blood draw or the other pill - or because of your roommates care. She is home and I am smiling. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. The recovery and postoperative care are going to be long, but she's in that road...

Speaking of another road well traveled by all of us. Lousy week. But what else is new. With daylight savings time tomorrow morning, many of us will be even 1 hour closer to 1 year and a few past. We have notice that our 3rd "rude and bothersome" (and it took me away from a good hand I had in video poker) SR is complete. I expect a letter next week using the words "delay", "workload", "unrelated to your case" and "x days". I anticipate x=120 days. My prediction for our GC is wildly optimistic. Our medical is 1 year old tomorrow...RFE here we come...

So happy she is home! Hospitals are a terrible place to recover, nothing like being home :). My mother also had brain surgery and all she would say is "I want to go home!" Our prayers to you always!

As of 31 January, LA are working on July 24th cases, did they miss yours, or are they telling fibs?

I think so, they went to have tea and when they returned, they lost track of dates!

Hello everybody, I am an April filer, yesterday My status changed to this statement : "On March 6, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number ...."

What does this mean? Is it an approval Notice ?

Congrats! Your are getting your GC!!

we got interview waiver in august last year, and its been our 6 month wait time, i saw that people from march are getting their cards now

i submitted a request to see what was going on 1/30 and last week we got a letter saying to find out whats going on set up an info pass appointment and bring all Paperwork with us to the appointment

does this mean they lost our paperwork or just if we want update to make appointment?

thanks

Sorry can't advise, I haven't done an info pass, but I would imagine its much the same as the K1 interview, where they had all the documentation, but were advised to bring it all with us any way.

So this morning I had an appointment at USCIS in Philadelphia to have my fingerprints retaken for EAD renewal , being that after 10 and a half months I am still waiting for my Green Card. So we drive 2.5 h up there, wait 30 minutes in line, got called by an officer and HAVE ONE FINGERPRINT taken, right index finger!!! I was inside for 30 seconds(literally, 30). Are you freaking serious??? So 5 hours on the road for 1 fingerprint and 1 photo. I am loosing my patience...

Mine Doesn't say delivered though Shell, it says it got to the Chicago Post Office on Thursday but nothing after that, and even the deliver estimate still says last Thursday?? I've sent an email to the post office and it says to expect a response within 3 days, I hope its not lost because that'll deduct days from my 120 window!
