"Welcome! Find a comfortable seat, you're in for quite a wait.

Here's a very short summary of what we know about this process so far. Your case will now be stored at the National Benefits Center (NBC) in Lees Summit. MO. After about a year of waiting (from your initial filing date) your case will depart the NBC and head to a local office to be adjudicated. The papers won't go to your local office but to a local office that has capacity to process it at that time e.g. a Floridian NPIW case could very well be processed in Los Angeles local office. One or two people have been asked to renew their medical (at their own cost) but most seem to be adjudicated without a new one. The longest waiting people in this thread have recently sent EAD/AP renewals which you can do 120 days before the EAD expires. Service requests and enquiries usually end up with no reply or a reply of just wait. The published field office timescales do not include your case and there is no point looking at them.

Good luck."

As of 31 January, LA are working on July 24th cases, did they miss yours, or are they telling fibs?

Well remember I made that SR online last month that said they sent out a letter (And then Tier 2 told me that was a lie and they never answered my SR) Well that is now stopping me from creating an out of service request time since its within 30 days..

Does the USCIS processing time mean anything? My local office is processing applications of July 18,2014 which I believe March 20, 2014 is before July. My application is probably at NBC and USCIS hasnt answered my Congressman inquiry yet ( almost 1 month). It will be one year from the date of filling on March 20, 2015. This is beyond ridiculous.

New Journey AOS:

My fiancee came to US on the 8th of March, 2014 under K-1 visa at Newark, NJ Airport for POE.

Applied Social Security Number on the 10 of March, 2014.

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131 on the 15th of March, 2014.

Received EAD on June 7, 2014.

Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on July 1, 2014 date 6/27

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

Welcome notice was mailed on 04/01/2015.

Received Welcome Notice on 04/08/2015.

Card was mailed to me/picked up by USPS on 04/08/2015.

When you put in an SR i asks for FILING date not Receipt date, based on the first SR email I got back in December they have my filing date as April 21.. either way my NOA1 is date April 24th and Dallas processing says the're working on April 25th

Have you done your own service request or an info pass yet? I would certainly put in a service request as they are out of processing times, but alas in answer to question, it seems they don't care. You could always do what others did to get their GC's quickly and send them flowers or chocolates I guess.

I did submit 3 requests in the past, but the responses are BS which says like your application is pending. Your application will be processed in order of receiving which is BS. The other responses were copying word by word from NPIW letter so it is obvious the officer did not read the sentence where it says 6 months not 8.5 months. Congressman had submitted inquiry about 1 month ago but USCIS hasnt answered him yet. Ombudsman had contacted USCIS 15 days ago, however it might take up to 60 days to get response. I did not make INFOPASS because my local office is far away.

No idea of my filing date other than August and I reckon next month they will only have moved a week or so, so I will have to wait at least two months to do one. A tier 2 is looking into your file right? Hopefully you will hear shortly.

You never know you might be psychic Natonstan and get the estimated date of your GC spot on. I think I am as about as psychic as my little finger, but I have until the 13th of July to see how well I did for my estimation. Would send a box of chocolates to the nearest estimation but this thread is getting larger and larger and I don't have a share in Cadbury's nor a large bank account, nor a GC!

That's right, the Tier 2 SR was completed this past week and it says they've sent a response so i'm just waiting for that response in the mail now, who knows what it'll say, it could very well come today so i'll be sure to keep you informed :)

Ombudsman getting involved should be interesting. I don't know much about them, but I know that in England if you go to the Ombudsman things are normally dealt with pretty quickly, however that is England so it may not apply here.

Hopefully either way you will hear something shortly from either source. Perhaps someone in the USCIS actually cares about it's customers? You never know!

Personally, I would hate to work for a place where they didn't care, where I wasn't allowed to resolve a problem/ enquiry or bring everything to a satisfying conclusion for everyone involved. I would find that soul destroying, but that's me as I give a damn!
