Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case

Ok so USCIS has finally respond to my service request made about 3 weeks ago. My case is in Lawrence Field Office, even though the last three letters said QNS (Queens), so I guess those letters don't really mean anything.

"Your petition/application is still pending consideration at the USCIS Lawrence Field Office. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your petition/application."

The good news is that the case is no longer at NBS, so waiting for the approval any time now

In the email from Immigration Services Officer to Congresswoman, it says the PIW case can take 9-12 months. So in this case, and IF I REALLY HAVE PIW FOR MY CASE, I'm still within the normal timeframe. (Because I didn't receive a letter saying that my case is PIW, but ISO said my case is...so I am just very confused.)

We're in the same boat. We really aren't sure if my husband has the NPIW status or not. His son got one, but he didn't. So frustrating!

I logged into "myUSCIS" this morning and see that my K2's I-485 case was updated on 12/12/2014, but nothing on the left side of the page to show what was updated. Is this normal? Husband's I-485 status has not been touched since mid-August.

Derwood, I did the same as you! I clicked on the wrong case number and thought my K2's green card was approved. DOH!

I guess they don't as Tier 1 don't seem to know it doesn't necessarily go to your local field office, although lately they have been saying MSC.

Ive seen this before you know, someone had it and then the same day got approval. I feel its SO close that you can touch it. Good luck!

The 12/12/14 update was when they updated their computers, so nothing actually happened to your case. I have that too, we got like 3 text messages that day and super excited, but it was just them fixing their computers.

Processing times have been updated as of the 27th Feb, however Pittsburgh has not moved same date.

Processing times have updated, however mine hasn't changed, if it has it has actually reversed a bit, still processing very early July.

San Fernando Valley (LA CA) office still has June 7th as their December 31st date. No Feb. 27th update.

They did access it on 27th Feb, if you look at the top, but they didn't change any of the 1-485 time frames nor did they change the date of 31st December, very weird. Hopefully an update mid month.

That's what we're figuring, since K2 is supposed to be directly tied to K1 filing. We figure it was lost in the mail. For a long time we wondered if maybe it's K2's age that prompted the letter; he wouldn't be interviewing anyway, as far as I know, but we couldn't get anyone to answer our questions about it on the forum. Which was frustrating in and of itself!! But seeing a couple people in the same relative boat, we're a little more convinced it was lost. Husband is still hoping for that elusive interview anyway, just to have it done sooner.

Well, it really doesn't matter much anyway, when they're processing, since it doesn't apply to us. I have my eye on end of July. If it's longer than that, then I'll begin to get annoyed and frustrated, and impatient.

Well, just mailed off my EAD renewal, I made sure to get tracking/signature required so that I know it got there, one less thing to worry about, or more like one MORE thing to worry about

If her NOA's were undeliverable, her NPIW letter must have been too? Still, with her date of NOA, it's still way early for approval with a NPIW.
