Sometimes we get so wrapped up in this inhumane process, that in our anger we almost forget how so very much we love the partner we brought to the USA. We also forget that life is short.

I just left my wife as she walked into surgery to remove a tumor in her head which is stealing her sight and risking her life. The GC seems very insignificant today...

Grab you spouse and tell them you love them very much...

Your right! Prayers and thoughts are very very much with you and your wife! (L)

That's the thing its not in order as they say with this very generic, fob off, but right now I feel in a very sombre mood due Nlhernan's brave announcement and the GC today seems to be less important. :(

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

Joining the NPIW club...hello everyone!

Welcome! Find a comfortable seat, you're in for quite a wait.

Here's a very short summary of what we know about this process so far. Your case will now be stored at the National Benefits Center (NBC) in Lees Summit. MO. After about a year of waiting (from your initial filing date) your case will depart the NBC and head to a local office to be adjudicated. The papers won't go to your local office but to a local office that has capacity to process it at that time e.g. a Floridian NPIW case could very well be processed in Los Angeles local office. One or two people have been asked to renew their medical (at their own cost) but most seem to be adjudicated without a new one. The longest waiting people in this thread have recently sent EAD/AP renewals which you can do 120 days before the EAD expires. Service requests and enquiries usually end up with no reply or a reply of just wait. The published field office timescales do not include your case and there is no point looking at them.

Good luck.

Great run down Derwood, the sad thing is it's absolutely true! :(

Although there are the rare cases where it does go to their local office and they do get approval after a few months. These though are the rare and honoured cases!

What a bunch of ........... I am also in Texas, and the local office in El Paso, TX is already processing applications from July 2014. Did you ask if your application was still in NBC? I always ask and they always confirm it's still there rotting away.

At this point I highly doubt Tier 2 can do anything for us. They can see a bit more information vs Tier 1, but I think that's about it.

espared12, I have a question about your situation. you applied 04/15/2014 your I-485 form and still waiting, but the time line of your local office is saying that they are working on cases who applied in july 2014!!!!!! So, how couldn't you get your GC when yours is on April???!!!!!!

NPIW apps are handled at the National Benefits Center. They get sent out to any random field office and not necessarily the applicants local office. This is why USCIS processing times mean nothing to us. This is why our situation is so frustrating, because we have no way of being able to tell what NPIW cases are being processed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife in this difficult time. May God guide the surgeons operating on your wife and guide your wife through a speedy recovery.
