Yes, you have to wait until your field office date is past your received date of NOA1 for I485.

As a hypothetical so if your field office is working on the date of the month you submitted your AOS (October) but your "6 months" is like 4 months (August) away do they tell you to wait? Or do they request an officer to pull it?

Just received text messages about our case, Checked it online and it said New Card is being produced for me and my K-2's, I received a letter just last Feb 17 asking for marriage license which i originally included in the AOS packet but I still sent out 3 copies one for me and for each of my K2 and today received the good news!! Thank God!

"6 months" do you mean your potential waiver letter? Then No, they go by the filing date (received date) on NOA1. So if your NOA1 date is October 1st then you have to wait until they are up to that date to submit an inquiry request. The waiver has nothing to do with the dates.

That's what I meant, Pittsburgh as of December 30 are up to June filers so in theory should be onto October filers on April 30th but I just received an NPIW so I'm curious if doing a service request at the time they're up to my filing date, will that prompt them to pull my case or what.

Pittsburgh I485 files are at July 2. So you will have to wait until your NOA1 date is past that. Then you can submit a case inquiry to see if you can find anything out about your application. Most of the time they will just tell you that there are delays and not really give you any specific information on your case. The old timers here have been trying to figure this out for sometime now. USCIS is very backlogged and most of the time there is no rhyme or reason on the way they approve applications. I hope that made more sense

As things are going right now, it looks like you may not receive your green card until around October of 2015. This process is very very slow. Grab some popcorn and hang on to your seat .

Your app can be sent to any random field office in the US this is why we have absolutely no way of knowing what NPIW cases are being processed.

We have to remain positive and help each other through this process. When I see an approval, I feel just as elated as the person who is receiving it. Hopefully we will all support each other through ROC too!

I'm glad I found this forum for my I-129F, although we did get an attorney to do that one. The AoS was done purely using the guides here and so far things have worked out fine.

It's a good sign for sure because when I've made SR's online they wait till literally the last day of the 30 day period to even get assigned, then obviously I get NO response at all, literally nothing. but this Tier 2 one has been assigned within a week of me doing it, and I believe he said I should hear back from it by march 7th... although he said it might be a generic response but hey at least I know I tried
