They're likely referring to the scaremongering statement from the USCIS union last year. It simply referred to the plan to expand eligibility for interview waiver cases. I highly doubt there's any way

Our medical expires in April (filed for AOS in October), and as we only just got the notice of potential waiver, we are expecting the medical to expire before our case is completed. Do we wait until we get an RFE telling us to update our medical, or do we have to take care of that regardless? I'm assuming we would have gotten an RFE by now if it was going to be an issue but I also don't want to have our case denied because we didn't go and get a new medical.

I would say wait to receive an RFE. You never know what might happen, they might just overlook the expired medical or they might not. Medicals don't come cheap.

I feel it too. When we first applied last year our attorney told us it would be about 4 to 6 months. Ha! Well I do believe they need to update the records they have there. Somedays I cant hardly stand to look at the site. But I still do in hopes it will be something good. Im a sucker for disappointment I guess.

Funnily enough I was thinking that the other day. You could have a couple of babies in the interim period, especially if you have twins and then you will probably get an rfe for not mentioning them on the original form. ha ha ha ha. This is just crazy! No other word than crazy!

Do you need to inform USCIS that there is a new child in the mix if it happened after filing for AoS?

Not that I am aware off! I think they automatically become a US citizen, but someone might tell me I am wrong. Why dont you ring them up and whilst you're on the phone ask what the heck is happening to your case!!

When did you open a service request, I am wondering if I should do one just for the sheer fun of knowing I will get told that it is going to take longer than anticipated!

I know he is a US Citizen, he already has his passport. The UK passport is taking a while but hopefully should have that too in a month. I was more thinking about whether it would change the application because they ask about children in that.

I'm still within the 6 months from my NPIW. If I do then I'll just ask my congressman, it seems like they give more information to those guys than they would to me...

I see new NPIW recipients post here, and they sound enthusiastic, ready to take on the wait as if the NPIW they just received was a good thing. Their Congressional desk as they call is as elusive and evasive with them as the rest USCIS is to us. That's what my Rep and Senate offices have told us. Unless you have a rep who's willing to go toe to toe with Director Rodriguez (as Joe Wilson did for one constituent on this thread), they get the same crud. I expect when I go back to our Senators office next month at one year, after they got told a decision will be 9-12 months from receipt, they will tell the Senate office about delays caused by the funding dispute in Congress (though as they continue to say they work on fees) as a reason for continued delays...I willing to wager money on it...

Thanks, this might sound daft as I only did one service request via phone when they were late with my EAD/AP card, how do I do one on their website?
