congratulations!! my AOS dates are a lot like yours, so hopefully I'll get approved soon! :)

thank you i hope you hear something asap! :)

to topoftherock2013

you have to pay anything else to get the GC? or you just receive it?

I adjusted from K1 fiancé visa, so i paid my initial filing fees for AOS: $1,070 for EAP, AP and GC. I received a two year GC.

Hope that helps!

Hi all, wondering if anyone can clear this up for me without my needing to start a new thread pointlessly;

GC start date: July 24th 2014

GC expiry date: July 24th 2016

Am I correct in thinking I can apply for 10 year GC in APRIL 24TH 2016?

If so, when can I apply for a passport?

Thank you in advance, and sorry its a silly Q - just wanted to make sure!

To your second question: you're not eligible for a US passport as a permanent resident. You can only apply for one after your citizenship naturalization ceremony.

You can apply for your 10-year-GC 90 days before the expiration date of your 2-year-GC. If I am doing my maths correctly, that would be on April 25, 2016.

As above poster said, you will have to be a citizen before you can apply for a U.S. passport.

I got the waiver notice in April and received my GC two days ago - so, 3.5 months instead of the 6 mths anticipated delay. Not bad.

Hello,

I just visit the USCIS web page to check about the processing times, there are an update on Aug 07, but they don´t show the I-130 any idea what´s happening?

Also I´m confused about what office takes care about I-485, is the NBC or the local offices??

thanks for any information
